Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

worth the purchase - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By beachcomber - September 17 - 10:00 ama great "city" car and its also good on the Sunday drive. This car wont break the bank. Ive got very nice compliments from friends and co- workers. Toyotas new design makes this a stylish break out for a younger driver. Its the type of vehicle that wont have you wondering "whats gonna happen now".

Love my little S - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By cc - September 16 - 11:23 pmI got 35 mpg for this little car, I am wondering if because I am a tiny woman or the added sporty package gives me extra miles. Anyways, I am so attached to this car. I wish a little bit extra storage inside of the car like my husbands RAV. I have put 22000 miles on the car so far, never have any problem. Car still performs like new one. The state I live in has speed limit of 65 on the freeway, so I cannot say much about the power. But I do know it accelerates slower on the ramp. But it does get a little fishtailed in the strong wind gust.

Corolla manual trans. - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By JKD - September 16 - 4:33 amI really like this car. I didnt know they made cars this high in quality! I bought the CE with power windows and locks but thats all the option I wanted. I just placed 1300 miles on the engine and I am starting to see the high MPG. That will be really nice this summer when gas hits $3.30 a gallon.

Not Bad - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Alex - September 15 - 5:33 pmmy first new car. i think i chose wisely, but after a month of driving the car it seemed a tad tedious. seating could have been lower. the door panels from the inside feel cheap and hollow. so does the dash. the white gauge clusters are also dreadful, and the green lights surrounding the stereo buttons and screen is hideous and make the interior seem old. it does not corner as well as a mazda3(feels flabby), but it gets way better gas milage. the drive is also very bumpy and harsh. you can just feel every little pebble while driving. this car was just not made for L.A.s harsh streets.

Driver door wind noise driving me nuts - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By gjungle1 - September 13 - 9:16 pmI have been a Toyota man for the past 22 yrs, so are my kids, my 2010 corolla sport has excessive wind noise coming from both front doors, 2 dealers looked at it, was told its a characteristic of car? To live with it. Sorry I owned a 1998 rav 4 soft top with no wind noise, my 88 corolla no wind noise for life of car. 500,000 km, and my daughter yaris no wind noise. Live with it? Quality really have gone down hill, I hate driving a Toyota!

Corolla Rolls On and On - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Chris - September 13 - 6:03 pmI bought this vehicle new in 1997 and have used it primarily for work trips which are now 66 miles one way. The Corolla has 264,000 miles on it and has never broken down and has received normal maintenance. No engine problems whatsoever though it uses one quart of oil every 2,000 miles, similar to another reviewers experience. Only recurring problem is the exhaust manifold has been replaced twice. Minnesota salt? The car is roomy enough but the comfort level becomes quite average after a while. Still - very economical at 38 mpg in the summer, 30 mpg in the winter (highway)

40,000 and counting - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By tboyd8701 - September 12 - 9:48 pmI have owned my Corolla S for just over 2 years now and put 43,000 miles on it so far. It lacks in the power, but makes up for it with 34-36 mpg. Handling is decent. Interior comfort is good, I drive for about 2 hours a day. I have not had any mechanical issues with the car yet and as for the recalls maybe people should take some defensive driving lessons or learn how to turn the ignition off and stop trying to get rich off of Toyota. Toyota was very good about taking care of the recalls and if I had to do it over again, I would without a doubt buy this car. Overall a great small car.

Not bad, but could be much better! - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Corolla Driver - September 12 - 4:10 amWhile the Corolla is a decent car, it does not stand out in any way and needs lot of improvement. Redesign the interior, move the clock to the radio area (add date/day of week); improve steering feel; illuminated controls for door locks & mirrors; 8 way power driverÂ’s seat w/lumbar support; radio backlighting should be blue to match other controls; make the LCD bigger and higher resolution so it contains more info at a time (see Elantra). Every cheap gadget these days has high-res LCDs with a wealth of information! And get rid of the pixelated fonts; fog lamps on XLE. Heated outside mirrors standard on the XLE (Elantra offer them standard on all models); no intrusive hinges on trunk.

My New Car - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Nick - September 9 - 6:50 pmWhen we bought this car I thought it was going to be to boring. Another Toyota well not to put them down but, they can be boring. We had a Camry before and the only fun part was the V6, and now we were loosing that. Oh well I was wrong. This car is much more fun than the Camry. Easy to park, spunky, fast for a 4 cylinder. Got all the features on this baby its loaded, and I stayed under $18,000. Talk about the gas milage were getting between 36- 38 mpg on the highway. My Camry was lucky to get 23-24. I love this car and its better looking all around.
