Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

rough ride - 2016 Toyota Corolla
By Daniel Aguirre - October 1 - 1:20 amTake a longer test drive, the car to me seems a little noisy and has a rough ride. Other than that the car is fine.

Great in town rental. Not a hwy cruiser - 2016 Toyota Corolla
By HWYMiler - September 28 - 4:57 pmVery easy to drive. Brakes are decent, acceleration is adequate although the engine does buzz to get there. Not a huge fan of the CVT but seems like it needs that to get the most out of the engine. visibility is very good. It was the low end model but the stereo was fine. Biggest gripes: At highway speed the engine could use another gear. Turning around 3K @ 70mph => 34-35 mpg. Car would be much improved w/ small engine + turbo. Very little steering feedback and car tends to drift a bit on the hwy. Cruise control is typical Toyota in that it surged a few too many miles above the set speed as you hit rollers. LED headlights are way too hot which is a shame. I like the beam pattern of the LEDs but the temp does not create enough contrast and its compounded by not being strong enough. Drove this as well as the Ford Focus and VW Jetta 1.4 all in the same month. Each for almost a week. Granted Im not focused on long term ownership costs but the Jetta was hands down my favorite.

I love my little red car! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Dede - September 26 - 2:20 pmThis is my very first car. I have had her for 3 months and commute 52 miles a day during the week on the highway, and I am very happy with my decision to buy this car! I test drove a few other cars (including the Honda Civic) but I liked the way this one felt the best. I felt like I had the most control with this car.

Better than the 2014 Civic - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By golden33 - September 24 - 6:50 pmBought both the 2014 Civic and the 2014 Corolla about the same time. The Corolla interior was re-designed and that was the main reason I chose it. Inside it feels much more solid than the Civic, both have the same Eco and leather trim with power seats. Mileage is at least 3 more mpg than the Civic, at highway it gets an easy 40 mpg with the A/C on. Toyota has a two year free service included which Honda lacks, big plus. Also its free traffic information screen is better than the Civic, including traffic accidents on the traveled road along with the weather. Around town it gets 34mpg with no problem, the Civic 31.

You Cant Go Wrong With A Toyota! - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By turtlelady6 - September 23 - 9:06 pmThis is my second Toy, and Im glad I bought this one. The car before this was a Ford Aspire and I couldnt hand the dealer the keys fast enough!! The Toy is reliable, low maintenance, gets good gas mileage, and I know itll last a long time because its a Toyota. If you want a car thats not only reliable, but easy to drive, gets good gas mileage, and is cost efficient, this is your car.
