Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • toyota corolla sport great value auto - 2009 Toyota Corolla

Car is very dependable, handles good but steering is numb, the sport model has comfortable seating and good smooth ride. Car is responsive and will give 36-37 mpg on hwy with Cruise set at 73-74 mph., get 28-29 mpg. City driving. No problems in the 16 months I have owned the car & driven 10k.

  • Great Mileage, Poor comfort - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Bought new for wife. At 5ft 2in tall she loves it! I (at 6ft 2in) found it to be more uncomfortable than my old 1990 Corolla. The steering wheel is too far away and not adjustable. The armrests on the doors are very hard and my left arm goes to sleep when driving even short distances and the seats provide little thigh support for taller people. The serpentine belt squeaks constantly, (tensioner?) The valence panel below the front bumper is very flimsy and easily cracked.. Be careful when loading the trunk. The curved support arms may crush items when the lid is closed.

  • Excellent MPG - 2009 Toyota Corolla

Great value. Very quiet and drives like a much larger car. I have noticed a different feel in the steering. I have gotten used to it. It would not deter me from recommending this car.

  • Vibrates like a 20 year old car - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I do not want you to make the same mistake, even though I bought brand new 2010 car, the car vibrates like a 20 year old car, you can feel the vibration in the steering wheel, doors, seats. I told the dealer about the vibration and his answer was that all Toyota corolla vibrates and that I am not driving BMW.

  • I love it - 2009 Toyota Corolla

I did a lot of research online. I test drove the Corolla S 09, 08 Honda Civic, and 08 Honda Accord. The Corolla has everything! I bought a Classic Silver 2009 Toyota Corolla S with the JBL option, moonroof, sport package. I love it, its been amazing. Getting around 34 mpg (mainly commute on a parkway to work). I feel like it is an economy car with some style. Trunk size is great, almost as big as my 1999 Taurus. The clock display is not that bad, takes time to get used to. Go buy it if you can find one.

  • Just Commute! - 2002 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Owned the LE three years now, and just change oil and add gas occasionally! My roads are secondary, usually, so I can normally get 40 to 44 MPG (55 MPH). I researched before buying, and know I made the right choice. The ONLY complaint is that the car needs either a six-speed, or more HP. Even a seasoned manual transmission driver (all my life) can still kill the engine at times. It just does not have a low enough first gear! I am 55 years old and this will be my last commuter, it is built that well. Just keep clean oil in it, and pay attention to coolant change-outs. You will not be disappointed.

  • Ive always been a Honda owner... - 2002 Toyota Corolla
    By -

so this is the first Toyota Ive owned. The primary thing that attracted me to this car was the price. On average, Hondas sell for about 2-$3,000 more than a Toyota, and basically the quality and reliability are the same. I believe that I got more options for my money than I would have for a Honda Civic. If money is a concern, then buy a Toyota. Breaking is excellent and responsive. If I had the ABS option, it would be perfect. Cornering is also responsive; better than I expected from a small car. While this is not the 89 Acura Legend I once owned, this is a wonderful compact, economical car! I am confident in my purchase.
