Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Excellent - 2011 Toyota Corolla

This is a cheapie car that over delivers. I think when rating this car you have to take price into consideration. You are not going to get a high end Audi for under 20k. It has some road noise, a little to much cheap plastic in the interior and the stuff in find in the under 20k range. What I did get was a a smooth ride, enough engine pep, just enough interior room all in a affordable package. Almost 40k and I have only changed oil, filters and put higher end tires on. It warms up quick in cold Michigan and handles snowy roads without skipping a beat. Its a better car than the last two Hondas I have owned.

  • Amazing Car - 2008 Toyota Corolla

This car is absolutely amazing. Its also a road-trip machine. First road trip was from KC to Dallas and absolutely felt refreshed after arriving. Gas mileage is A+ and I love the thickness of the seats. Its also got decent pickup. Cons: Sunroof is having sort of a rattling sound. Im also experiencing the brake pop issue another reviewer posted on. I also agree it only happens when you move from reverse to drive and vice-versa. I have yet to go to the dealer for an explanation.

Im really happy with my purchase. I love the quality of Toyota. The ride is smooth, with nice pep to the engine. Car is also roomy for a four person family.

  • Better than Honda Civic - 2014 Toyota Corolla

I purchased this car for my wife in Evergreen exterior with amber seats. It looks weird in pictures but really good in person. The current Honda civics are ugly and the interior materials are subpar. Toyota really hit a home run with this car. Exterior is sleek and handsome, while the interior is well thought out and handsome. There are still actual knobs for volume and AC. AC blows cold. Power is really good, especially for climbing hills. The CVT is really good and smooth, I dont hear any whine at all. I find the LE ECO is the best value, since it already has a backup camera and hiighest MPG. Dont need any fancy wheels to reduce my MPG. Car is relatively quiet.

  • Corolla S great value - 2004 Toyota Corolla

We just purchased a 2004 Toyota Corolla S. It is a sporty looking car with lots of leg room and comfort. Very economical and fun to drive. My teenager now wants one of her own. At the great discounts now available, that just might happen!

  • I LOVE my new Corolla!!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I bought my new Corolla in July, and I must say I have fallen completely in love. Not only is the car great looking, the inside is amazingly roomy. Additonally, the trunk seems very spacious. For such a small engine, the car has surprisingly good acceleration, and the handling was great on my cross-country drive. The engine is exceedingly quiet- it just purrs along. Combine all these things with he dependability of Toyota cars (I hope to keep this one for a looong time) and you clearly have a winner! My advice to potential buyers would be to go for it! Its a great buy!

  • toyota corolla sport is the best - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I bought this corolla because I got into an accident with my 2000 corolla. Although my old corolla had only 50,000 miles on it, I had to have the 2003 model because it was so nice. I love my car and I love to drive it everywhere. Now that it had 22,000 miles on it I just cant stop. What can i say I love my car.

  • Will NEVER buy again - 2006 Toyota Corolla
    By -

We were overseas on military orders and ran into problems while under extended warranty at only 30,000 miles. Fought with Toyota for 6 months and received no help until MANUAL transmission stalled on the highway!! UNACCEPTABLE. Laundry list of repairs every time we go in. If you ever have problems with this car and expect good service FORGET IT!! Constantly was accused of not really having the extended warranty and was even charged for warranty work more than once and had to dispute. We are trading it in NEVER to buy a Toyota again.

  • It is what it is and I LOVE it! - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I read all these reviews before I bought my car and was a little turned off. So glad that I didnt listen! I love my new car! I have had it for about 3 days. It is what it is. No you are not gonna get a race car, but you trade off with good gas mileage!

  • Looks great, Runs poorly - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

When i first bought this car i was really excited because i felt i had upgraded from my 99 Avalon. Now i just wish I wouldve gone with a honda or mazda. This car has a lot of trouble accelerating as if the car was pulling something. The steering wheel doesnt seem to turn as much as it should. While driving at 65 mph it was difficult to keep car in between lines. This feels unsafe and worse than my 96 accord. Its infuriating that Toyota would build a car this way as oppose to stepping up their game after all they been going through. The car looks great but id rather drive a car 14 years older.
