Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Not bad for a 2007 - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I bought the car about a month ago. It seems like I might be having a problem with it. It seems to hesitate alittle when starting out. Doesnt all the time though. I like that it has a lot of room inside. A lot of trunk room too. Not too good of handling on the highway speeds. I would say about 70 mph.

  • Solid car for the typical commuter - 2006 Toyota Corolla

The Corolla feels solid and well built. The drivers seat is comfortable but due to the design of the dash pod?- can feel like you are stretching your arms a bit for the wheel even when the seat is moved forward; not too bad though. Ive gotten between 39mpg all highway and 26mpg heavy city driving (were talking 3 miles of parking lot Boston traffic here) and the car is not broken in yet. Ive noticed: steering has good feel, gas pedal is a bit high for me but cruise on trips helps that, powerful ac and heat, decent sized trunk, area under door handles does seem to get scratched easily, good turning radius but low hood makes it a little tricky to park, decent torque, quiet ride.

This is a lot more car than I expected. Great fuel economy, reasonable price, solid Toyota quality and dependability.

The mileage on my car is over 60K miles, not a single problem so far. Very satisfied. With a manual transmission Im getting on average 35 mpg, which helps with the current gas prices.

  • I love this car! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I just traded my 99 ford escort se sport for the LE w/leather package. I never knew such a small car could be so refined, it feels like an avalon or ES300 on the inside. I have not been over 55 mph yet because of break in, but at 55 the interior is extremely quiet, especially for such a tall vehicle. The exterior is not the greatest, but if you value interior ambiance, performance, reliabiity, and resale value, this is your vehicle. If not, try a focus

  • Boring looks? Try the S - 2008 Toyota Corolla
    By -

S type Corolla has a much more interesting look to it, for those who are knocking the "plain" look of the Corolla, the S package doesnt add much in price but adds a body kit and rear spoiler to jazz it up a bit. Yes, its still a Corolla, but its much better looking in the S version. For those griping about performance, its either gas mileage or performance, not both. Face the truth; you and I grabbed this car because its cheap to buy, cheap to maintain, cheap to drive. If it had a monster V8 in it and had tons of performance, we would have bought a Civic; were not happy with 10 mpg. You DO however feel much sportier and more in control of engine horsepower with a stick. Try it.

This has been the worst car I have ever owned I got it with 116k on it and it has nothing but break every few months since I got it power steering g rack and pinion tie rods tires starter the trunk broke fuses 3 batterys not to mention it gets terrible gas mileage my 95 astro got better mileage it has the turn radius of 1 ton dually cummins and sounds like crap the trannys almost blew up and it bounces around past 65 to were I wont go on the freeway with It I drive my 95 civic over it all the time not to mention how it accelerated full throttle at an intersection by its self and almost killed my family toyota needs to take responsibility for there crap cars I wouldnt recommend toyota.

  • The Spartan of the economy cars. - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This is not a sports car, nor is it a luxury car. Its a compact car that happens to be fun to drive and efficent. If your buying this car to race it your buying the wrong car. If your expecting this to ride like a caddy, your likely to be disappointed. If your buying the car to commute to work, and pickup the groceries this is a great car. It is predictable, it manuevers well, it is easy on gas, and it isnt likely to break down. This car will doesnt depreciate as quickly as the rest of the competition. Its not as flashy as some of the others either. The corolla is a spartan car. It does the job well, my last corolla had 340K and still didnt miss a beat.
