Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

my 03 corolla - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Sam I Am - December 31 - 10:00 amToyotas rule for over all everything, quailty, ride, dependability, looks, style well I love Toyotas and really Japaneese cars in general. USA has the techo ability but dont want to use it to build a dependable car as these. They want to screw us out of more money more often.

05 Corolla S Impulse Red - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By crw - December 30 - 9:36 pmI love my Corolla! I can only think of two things I would make different. The O/D on/off and the ground effects are a bit cumbersome if you are not used to having them.

Gotta Love It - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By jen - December 30 - 5:06 amI had a 2007 Corolla S that was totaled two weeks ago. One of my main reasons for buying the 2009 Corolla was my 2007 held its value like no other. I ended up not owing a penny on the 2007. I love the Corolla because of its reliability, look, gas mileage and it just seems to have a little more pep than my 2007 did. I agree with the other reviews in that youve got to have both hands on the steering wheel at times to control the vehicle but I had the same issue with my 2007. I also agree that the temperature, clock etc. is horrible and would love to see Toyota update the stereo so that it displays the song and station call letters like the two GM rentals that I had. Overall love it!

Great reliable car. I recommend it! - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By tobias - December 29 - 1:10 pmI bought this car about 3.5 years ago when I was in college. Its been the only car Ive owned. I wanted a car that would be reliable and not cost me much to maintain and that it has been! I have almost 100,000 miles on it. I just replaced the front brakes, but otherwise just basic maintenance. Its the VE which is VERY stripped down...doesnt even have intermittent whippers (I joke that the whippers have 2 speeds, fast and faster). The engine is loud on the highway, and I can tell the difference in pick up when I have passengers. But those are my biggest complaints. Overall I love this car!

My Last Toyota - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By C.S. - December 25 - 7:26 pmBought this for reliability, safety, and fuel economy and expected such from Toyota. Since then, there have been 2 recalls on the car. The latest is for unintended acceleration! I see this as a serious safety issue and would strongly discourage anyone to purchase this car for that reason alone. Ill probably trade it asap. On the surface it seems like a decent car. The mpg is fantastic. The trunk and interior is spacious for its class and the mp3 player jack is nice. However, the cheap plastics have began to rattle. Both the seats and plastics show wear after only a year. It just doesnt seem to be made to last. Even though I knew its not a sports car, its boring to drive.

Nice car, but uncomfortable - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By master_pate - December 24 - 3:39 pmThis was originally my wifes car, but as I am now the one who needs to save on gas millage, it is now mine. I do not mind the look of this car at all. The LE actually has a pretty nice interior. The 5-speed manual also allows me to get a little more power than I would expect from a compact as well. Note, I am 5 7". What kills me is that the steering wheel does not telescope. This is important because its position is basically right on the dash, and the pedals are pretty high up, close to the seat. If I move seat closer to the wheel, my legs are cramped. If I move to where my legs are comfortable, my arms are completely outstretched. Worst seat/wheel design Ive ever used.

Great deal! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By BMW - December 24 - 3:36 pmI recently got this car from my parents as a going to school car and for my personal use. For the money, this car is great! This car is pretty much the best thing you can get for your money. This car is loaded with features for the price you pay. The few flaws it has are absolutely obsolete. Its extremely comfortable and supportive and the performance is surprisingly good for a 4 cylinder. The throttle is very responsive and the ride is very comfortable and relatively sporty.
