Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

A satisfied customer so far {2months} - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By morgan - February 17 - 8:06 amI traded my Camry in for the Corolla as I like the ease of maneuvering a smaller car. It is too bad that some " expert" reviewers find the Corolla a turnoff because of the electric steering. It is a little different but perfectly acceptable. Also some reviewers complain of lack of power. Ive been pleased so far.

Best buy - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Apples - February 17 - 2:00 amI bought this car for my wife, but I am thinking it should have been for me. This was our first car back in 89, good to know Toyota improved it. I like the feel, comfort and it also has a lil kick to it. Love it.

Best Car - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By Altin - February 15 - 10:06 amI graduated from school and I needed to buy a reliable used car. I chose a Toyota Corolla and I am very happy for it. My car had 97000 km ( 65000 mi) and so far I have done 6000 miles and it is great. The fuel economy and start it is great. We need to use our block heaters in Edmonton, but I didnt have a plug in and one day the temperature was -31 degrees Celsius (-24 F), but no problem, my reliable friend started. It is 10 year old but looks like new, because of superior quality that you find in a Toyota.

New Toyota Owner! - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By Matt - February 13 - 12:33 amI drove other American made automobiles for years, until now. I found my 2010 Toyota Corolla LE on the lot just the way I configured it on the Toyota website, color and options. Ive had it for two weeks and is the only car I drive. As a result, I am noticing its characteristics. My 2010 Corolla is a joy to drive! The traction control is a bit touchy, but otherwise in control. Brakes are still a bit grabby and took some time to get used to. The transmission shifts smoothly. I have no complaints about its steering, which I learned about during my research. Im currently getting 32 mpg combined driving. Based on reliability records for the Corolla, I plan on keeping my car for a long time.

Toyota Corolla S 5M - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Ryan B - February 10 - 11:40 pmThis is a great car for the price. Quality and styling beats out anything in its class including the Honda Civic EX. I purchased this car as a commuter special, for the gas mileage. After 10,000 miles, I am averaging 39 mpg! This is the best car I have ever owned and recommend this car to anyone. The best part is that no one can believe that it is a corolla; Toyota hit the nail on the head with this one.

The seat is so uncomfortable - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By iwishihad - February 10 - 7:18 pmI had this corolla for a year and half with 18,000 miles. the worst about this car is that it hurts your lower back because the front seats are so unconfortable. Im fit in terms of physical shape. Interiro is very boring and buttons are hard to reach. sound system is okay. engine noise is okay. The handling is little off because if I let go my steering wheel on straight road, it turns to right or left. The acceleration is slow than I anticipated but okay. I get around 30 to 31 MPG on 50/50 hwy and city. Although the meter reads 32.5 but I think its inaccurate. I also notice a wind noice especially when driving on hwy. I wouldnt recommnad Corolla unless you want your back broken.

2006 XRS - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By whatduhbabeh - February 10 - 4:13 pmGreat car, I love the gas mileage even though it only takes premium. I average about 31 no matter how I drive. It seems very reliable; I had nonstop problems with my VW GTI before this car. The interior looks great at night. It is a lot of fun to drive. I cant get enough of driving around town even with the ridiculous gas prices. I feel like this car got me hooked on Toyotas. I will likely get another Toyota as my next car whenever that may be. I did a lot of research before I bought this car and I am very happy with my decision.

Great Car - 1996 Toyota Corolla
By Great reliability - February 8 - 5:16 amI got this car from my parents at the start of my freshman year of college (August 2001,it had 47,000). Right now I am a senior and about to graduate in May 05(mileage is 97,100). I have been driving back and forth to college (60 miles round trip) every year except my sophmore year. So far the car has been reliable. It has great fuel economy. The maintanence that I had to do on it was oil changes, tires and brakes. The starter did go out when it was it my parents car and it had only 42,000. I also have a wind noise especially during the summer or rain, but it does not affect anything. I reccomend this car to somebody that looks to save on gas and for something reliable but not expensive.

So far so good - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By Shen - February 7 - 10:00 amWe recently sold our 94 GSR Integra (170hp VTEC), & bought this 99 LE Corolla. Performance wise, its no match to the GSR, but overall driveability is fine and ride is firm. The rear seat room seemed a little tight. Per the spec in Edmundsin comparing rear leg room between my old GSR and the Corolla, the Toyota should have an additional 1" of leg room, but that does not seem to be the case as my 3 year old in her car seat is always kicking me. This is after I try to adjust the angle and distance that I would normally sit. Just something to think about if you have small kids that needs to be in t

You Get More Than You Pay For - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By db - February 7 - 6:13 amI had always looked past the Corollas when considering Toyota cars. The Camry was the one to get, period. After two weeks of driving this one-owner used 2004 model CE (29k miles), Ive changed my mind. Yes, its an economy car. But Im surprised how solid and secure it feels on the road. Acceleration is peppy, handling is tight, and braking is perfect. Its also much quieter than I expected, even at highway speeds (a function of good insulation and the automatic transmissions overdrive that allows for surprisingly low RPMs at 60+ mph). The trunk is very large, considering the size of the car, and the interior leg/head room is respectable. Its a perfect commuter vehicle.
