Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

reliability with economy with quality - 1996 Toyota Corolla
By JODASACA - March 21 - 10:00 amToyota is probably the best car you can buy for the money you spend. I have the 1.8 liter engine in my Corolla. It give me good performance with good economy. My Corolla hardly ever needs anything done to it. It is the most reliable car I have ever owned. It sure beats the American car I previously owned

94 Corolla - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Bob Munns - March 21 - 10:00 amI have driven a Corolla for over 15 years. My last model was a 2000. The 04 with the new side airbags, larger interier and increased hoursepower not only gives the feeling of safety and comfort, but the belief that I have a quality car that compares very favorably with may of a higher price.

Corolla S - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By darda - March 20 - 3:16 am2005 toyota corolla S, bought it for the looks. its the only thing I like about it, otherwise no power, poor handling and economy sounding stereo, even when upgraded. I have had 3 issues within 1 year, not toyota quality...

My years with a Toyota Corolla - 1995 Toyota Corolla
By college sweetheart - March 15 - 11:46 amToyota Corollas are great cars. Id chosen mine because of dependabilities and comfort. I trust the Toyota to deliver a high performance on travelling (gas mileage) and it does. I have gotten many compliments on the interior layout and received many admiring glances on my red car!

I Loved My Car!!!! - 1995 Toyota Corolla
By EbieLover - March 12 - 10:00 amI drove this car for 5 years before it was totalled by a reckless truck. The car was wrecked but I was absolutely fine! I had to replace the alternator twice, but I put 50,000 miles on it and it had 75,000 miles total. It had been across the country 5 times and it never required any major work -- EVER!

2nd corolla, love this one even better... - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Mark Miller - March 11 - 9:20 pmI bought this car in 2003, and it has been a solid, reliable purchase. No surprise there, as my first corolla (1981) lasted 14 years. The car is simply "a corolla"-built to last. I am surprised by the zip it has, and it handles very well through the corners, and is surprisingly quiet and smooth on the highway. In mixed driving, I get 32-36 mpg consistently. Its good for the daily commute, but I dont think Id take it across country. Nonetheless the front seat is very comfy and it just has an all-around good feel to it. Paint has faded a bit off the back bumper, but otherwise, it still looks and feels great. I cant say enough good things about this car. Thought about selling it - but, naw!

Purchased Slightly Used but I Love it! - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Angie - March 10 - 1:40 amI bought my 09 Corolla in November 2009. It was a programmed car so it had some miles on it and a few problems that the dealer corrected. The biggest being the heater blower switch had to be replaced. This was my first new-to- me car and its been so much fun to drive! Compared to my truck I was driving I cant believe how much I am saving on gas! Its sleek and stylish on the outside plus very comfortable. So far for me no out of pocket maintenance issues and it handled the first snow fall here in the midwest very well. I am happy with my choice.

First non-American car - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By cburg - March 9 - 12:43 amWe bought this car after our 99 Ford Taurus was eating up our bank account. Overall my wife and I love the car, we drove the Civic and the Sentra. The Toyota had the best ride and options for the money. This car takes the bumps very well. As far as mpg after 3 weeks we are getting 22 mpg. My wife mainly drives the car and she is only 7 miles from work. We drove the LE and didnt like the interior - very plain, not a lot of options. The S model has a lot of nice stuff in it. Does not come with floor mats! 130.00 - thats outrageous.
