Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Best car I ever had - 2006 Toyota Corolla

I have used the car for two years and its a pleasure to ride especially after observing the fuel consumption. The car was selected because of its excellent trim level.

  • Gotta Have It! - 2006 Toyota Corolla

This Corolla is amazing. Im very happy with the experience of owning this vehicle. Toyota definitely has a winner here. My family asked me what I thought and when I had to sum it up my response is simply "What a fun, affordable, sporty smooth car." Its a must have for college students, young married couples and older mature people that just want a no-nonsense kind of vehicle. I rated this vehicle very highly and I meant it!

I require three things out of a car-- 100% reliability, ice cold A/C, and a decent cup-holder. The Corolla turns out to be a bit cheaper than the Altima for basically the same features, so there you go. My Corolla LE is a class act, comfy, quiet, peppy, and I thought I was miscalculating when I consistently got between 32-38 mpg, during the Dallas summer WITH THE A/C ON! I wasnt miscalculating--this car gets better mileage than my friends gas-electric hybrid (28-32 mpg)! I did have to do a brake job at 22,000 miles. But Ive forgiven and forgotten--one mechanical problem in 3 Toyotas isnt a bad record.

  • I Love It - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I test drove several small to mid-size vehicles before purchasing this one. I previously owned a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant. Boy I really missed the boat with that one. The Corolla drive and ride much smoother and there is a noticeable difference in quality. If I had to do it over again, Id have bought a Toyota in 1999.

  • Doesnt get advertised gas mileage - 2006 Toyota Corolla

The Vehicle is nice, but it doesnt get anywhere the gas mileage that was advertized

  • So far, so good - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I bought this car based on its exceptional reliability. Hopefully, it will live up to that reputation over the next several years. The Corolla has an uncomfortable driving position, but handles well. Controls are logically placed and easy to see. Very smooth, shifting transmission.

  • Not So Good - 2009 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I purchased our new 2009 Corolla to do some extensive traveling. We find the car excellent in the city, but on the highway it is terrible. The car is uncomfortable - seats, armrests, lumbar support, left foot positioning, blind spots. The worst problem is a vibration at highway speeds that the dealership says is normal. We are so disappointed in our new Corolla and are considering dealing it at only 3000 kilometers.

  • Corolla: Great Car - 1998 Toyota Corolla

If youre looking for reliable, this is the car for you. In 5 years, all I have ever had to do is change the oil. My Corolla has never given me a single concern. And the style never gets old. Great car in every aspect!

  • great car value!!! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This cars styling is the first great feature. It is now designed to resemble as said before, a baby Lexus. Ive had the car for 1 month, and so far Ive had no regrets. I got the car for a great value due to additional rebates. and now i feel like i see so many sister silver corollas everywhere! You will not regret buying this; it is so NOT a little economy car. i havent noticed the sulfer egg smell others speak of. (my car was manufactured in 3.03) the steering wheel does feel a bit far away (but i have shorter arms) but it seems that even taller drivers are stating this! the stereo system isnt all that great (cant handle much bass), but is fine/OK.

  • Toyota Corolla S Excellent Car - 2007 Toyota Corolla
    By -

The guy who wrote that this car is almost blown away in a windy freeway is absolutely right. But this could happen to any small car. The only thing I dont like from this car is the extra plastic bumpers on the bottom of car. Excellent overall quality, great gas mileage, well designed interior actually was the main reason I choose this s model the black interior reminds me the Audi a-4 1.8l. The paint on these cars is really bad quality, I dont know why Toyota is not taking care of this issue, and add for $499 extra dollars the coat protector here in Miami this is a most to protect cars paint considering here temperatures reaches an average of 92 degrees.
