Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Awesome car, but get rid of the SMELL! - 2004 Toyota Corolla

Ok, so I bought this car last August to get back and forth from college in ... which is a 3 hour drive. I LOVE driving this car. It has a sleek design and a great stereo system. The major problem I have with this car is the smell of sulfur. I cant figure out how to get rid of it ... and its quite embarassing when people ride with you and you have to explain its something under the car and its not you. Other than that, I will definitely buy another Corolla ... its a much nicer ride than the Cavalier I used to own.

My parents just recently bought me a 2004 toyota corolla type s,and my sister a 2004 toyota corolla LE.We got the cars through Carsdirect.com, where they were able to order the car with almost every feature we wanted, and for less!! My sister loves how the LE looks and drives, and i love the more sporty look, the corolla is definatly a car for many different personalities.

Ive always read that Toyotas were the best cars. Yet too expensive for my budget and was always a little of my reach until now. Ive opted to lease payments which are low enough for me to relax some.

I dont know what everyone is talking about. I have had my car for 3 years. I bought it used in 2002 w/ about 68,000 miles. And the list of problems start 3 days after I bought it. I dont know if I got the runt or what. But this car is crap. Seats are hard, uncomfortable for drives longer then 20 mins. I had to have a new engine put in it just about 100,000 miles. Only good thing I can say, is Im glad I bought the extended warantee. Which just went up @ 104K, and now it needs new seals.... just lovely. I bought this car expecting so much. And I must say it has let me down. I honestly wish I had just kept my 98 Dodge neon. Yes you heard me.................

  • You get what you pay for in this great big world! - 2010 Toyota Corolla

This car seems to have had every corner cut possible to save money. 1rst, the paint is a joke. Easily chipped, scratched, dinged. I feel that just by looking at the car the paint begins to peel! Buy the paint protection if available, its worth it. 2nd, the car just feels cheap. From the interior controls (ie windows, door locks, mirrors, etc.) to the body panels and trunk deck; flimsy, thin, & cheap. 13k miles and already had the trunk cable break. My 99 civic with 209K miles never had the trunk cable break. Leaves me wondering what will be next. The drive train is about the only positive so far, as the motor runs smooth and the auto trans shift smoothly. But for how long is the ??

  • Worth the money - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Well built car, excellent mileage and decent standard features. plenty of room and comfortable car. Toyota improve your steering please, its awful. Get better brakes too and give some more low end power to your 1.8. who puts the clock down by the shifter? other than that i strongly suggest buying one.

  • Best small car ever - 2008 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Just drove 440 miles to Rocklin, ca. from orange county ca. What fun, 34.0 to 36.4 MPG and handled great at 80 mph with new Michelin tires. I bought this 2008 used with 27600 miles and its like new. If you are thinking of a Corolla just drive one, I am 510" tall and fit perfect in it. You may pay a little more for this car but well worth the $$...

  • I will never buy another Toyota - 2006 Toyota Corolla

Bought this car new after 2004 Toyota Corolla S had manual transmission failure. This car then had manual transmission failure under warranty. Then the ECM was recalled, failed and was replaced. Then the transmission failed again and out $3500.Then the ECM failed after one year so no warranty and out $700. Will never buy another Toyota again.
