Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Bar None best car for your money - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By texas toyota - May 5 - 4:10 amRecently drove from Abilene, tx to Dallas and back. My corolla got 37.5 miles per gallon. And thats with the a/c on. Idling in drive through, my lead foot, and pulling over 10 times on the way there and back. Love how cheap the vehicle was. And it is perfect for my family.

Best Value in America - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By Drewski79 - May 5 - 3:20 amI bought my 5 spd corolla in sept 06, and have put on almost 21000 mi already. I drive 80% hwy and avg 41 mpg. Awesome! I have had ZERO problems with this car so far. The 5 spd shifts great and has enough pickup for my needs. A sports car it is not, but for anyone who doesnt need race track thrills, this is simply the best car available. Awesome gas mileage, bulletproof reliability, and it even looks nice! Also, for those of you who work on their cars, there is loads of room under the hood so working on the engine and other components is not a cramped nightmare.

So far, a great experience - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By jmacthethird - May 4 - 11:23 pmSo far, this has been a great vehicle! Ive only had it a week but noticed gas mileage has actually been better than whats advertised on the sticker. I am averaging 30mpg combined and 40mpg average on the interstate and sometimes it goes even higher according to the gauge. I havent seen anything below 30mpg, even in stop and go. Note that ,on the gauge, the number is the average mpg, where as, the slider is the actual mpg. This is my first Toyota lease experience and the whole thing has been great. I opted for the sport because it seemed the best value, vs options and it comes in the gray color I like. I think this is going to be the start of a great relationship.

Not Your Mom and Dads Corolla - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By BlueSmoke18 - May 4 - 10:00 amJust bought my Corolla last week. Rides like a charm- very comfortable and plush; makes me feel like Im driving a Lexus(actually the same platform as the Lexus IS300, only with a 4 cylinder engine). Toyota has done a great job with their restyling of this car. Performance, feel and design are head and shoulders above the similar Nissan Sentra and Mazda Protege. Reasonably priced and reliable as it gets, you cannot go wrong with the Corolla.

The Perfect First Car - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Rider916 - April 29 - 10:00 amBeing only 17 and buying my first car is a difficult and dangerous decision to make. I knew though that Toyotas are very good cars that will last a long time without having to be serviced if kept in good condition. My 2004 Corolla has to be the best little car that I have driven. The only thing that I dont like about the Toyota Corollas new look is the Box shape that makes the car look smaller than it really is. Even though Leg room is sufficent, many people judge the size of the interior space based on the looks of the outside. Other than that, the car drives smooth and is easy to handle. I plan on keeping this car for the next 10-15 years.

Awesome Car - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By SJess - April 29 - 10:00 amThis car is awesome. I think it is fun to drive and looks great too! The interior is beautiful...I have dark gray interior and I love it. Plus, the chrome accents in the car make it look very sophisticated. The sound system is fabulous also...cd/cass/am/fm radio.

Great Vehicle! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By alleycat - April 29 - 10:00 amThe car really is roomy for its class-my 62" boyfriend had more room in the Corolla than he did in many of the midsize cars we drove. It is true though that a tall person has difficulty reaching the controls once the seat is back. The only real problem I have had is a tough time trying to clean the bug remains off the front bumper and mirrors. Also, there is a large blindspot in the back on each side between the rear and back door window. Gas mileage has been wonderful-30 mpg, but it is summer. Has a lot of pick-me-up, it really doesnt seem like it has anyless power that the previous V-6 I had.

Not bad, but could be much better! - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Corolla Driver - April 25 - 9:23 pmIts a good car but does not stand out in any way. Redesign the interior, clock in the radio area (add date/day of week); Improve steering feel; Illuminated controls for power door locks & mirrors; 8 way power driverÂ’s seat w/ lumbar support; Radio backlighting should be blue to match other controls; Make the LCD bigger & higher resolution so it contains more info at a time, not force to toggle the TEXT button. Every cheap gadget these days offers high-res LCDs with a wealth of info! & get rid of the pixelated fonts; Make available fog lights on XLE. Heated outside mirrors standard on the XLE (Elantra offer them standard on all models); No intrusive hinges on trunk.
