Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Best Car in History - 1999 Toyota Corolla

I bought this car for $4000 almost 3 years ago. have changed only tires, filters and the serpentine. The a/c is amazing, the MPG are great. The only problems are cosmetic like the center drawer door broke and the interior roof covering is peeling off. I bought it in Florida and recently shipped it to Puerto Rico and it is still unstoppable with 168,000 miles and counting!

  • Nice but falls short... - 2004 Toyota Corolla

The most dissappointing thing is gas mileage. I drive in suburb n even tho its winter, i am only getting 25-26. Camry gets better mileage lol. I dont like left foot rest, it sticks up too much forcing me to bend my left leg more then my right. Steering wheel is too far away relative to legs from pedals. Visiblility is poor cuz car sits up high. Expensive for car in this category. Comparably equipped Nissan Sentra would b better deal n can save $3500. The stereo has nice base but no mids. Had to lower bass to -3 to hear anything in mid. Everything about the interor n exterior design is basically a copy off VW (nice). Chrome trims n black stylish look.

  • Toyota Transmission? - 1994 Toyota Corolla

I bought this vehicle used with just under 100,000km on it. I must say that it has performed well for most of the last four and half years with only standard maintenance and new tires. It has been dependable until this spring when transmission problems at about 225,000km necessitated its replacement by "my" mechanic with the concurrence of the local Toyota dealer. This seems to be an anomoly for Toyota drivetrains but it does happen.

  • Performs as expected... and then some! - 2002 Toyota Corolla

I purchased a pre-owned 2002 Corolla when my 1994 Tercel final gave up the ghost. This is perhaps the ultimate commuter car - reliable, steady, easy to drive, fuel efficient, and unnoticed by speed traps. The five-speed instead of automatic transmission makes a big difference in traffic and bad weather. BTW - Im 56" and find the cabin very comfortable!

  • Best car Ive ever owned!!!!!! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This is my 1st new car!!!!! I was reluctant to purchase a toyota because I have always owned american. My wife convinced me to buy our new corolla. We have only owned the car for about a month but so far is has been excellent. We went from a SUV which was getting about 16 MPG to almost 40 MPG. There is plenty of room inside the car and the price was lower than I thought we could get a new car for. The dealer was very helpful and did not get overbearing to sell the car. So far I am very pleased with our purchase.

  • Glare on glass convering odometer & speedometer - 2016 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This is a wonderful, beautiful car (once you get past the steer wheel being so busy) except for 2 things. 1st thing is the bluetooth for your phone. The air conditioner vent must be pointed downward and the AC fan turned down to one or 2 notches or whoever you are talking to cannot hear anything but wind as if your window is open. But by far the BIGGEST problem is an engineering defect on the glass covering the odometer and speedometer. Unlike my husbands Camry, there is no hooding on the dashboard that overshadows the glass over the odometer or speedometer, and in certain conditions, even though the window tinting is wonderful. the sun glares on the odometer and speedometer, making them unreadable and there is no digital odometer, so you have no idea what speed you are going & leaning over and trying to see takes your eyes off of the road where you can easily swerve into incoming traffic, etc.

  • Go Ahead...Ask Me - 2004 Toyota Corolla

I could not be happier with my 2004 Corolla! Being a VW only owner for years I had such a bad time with my 1999 Jetta that I decided test drive a Camry...the Corolla drive was just for fun while I waited for more info on the Camry. I loved the Corolla immediately and so much so that I decided to go with this instead of the sister Camry. Either way, you cant go wrong with Toyota! Between the Service and dependability you will not be disappointed! I still look forward to my morning commute every day in my comfortable, affordable, reliable Toyota! So, go ahead...Ask Me About My Toyota!

  • The ideal starter car. - 2004 Toyota Corolla
    By -

My parents bought me this car for my 16th birthday and its been reliable through in and throughout. It seats four people comfortably and has HUGE trunk space. At first glance, it looks like a small car, but dont be deceived. The Corolla is hardly a monster car, but its decent in size. The air conditioning is good if that counts at all as is the handling. Its fun to drive, but then again, Im a teen. Driving is fun all around. The Corollas a little noisy from the inside, but its expected from a V4 car. All in all, you get a lot for your buck.
