Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Corolla experience - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By JAC2488 - September 7 - 8:23 amThis belongs to my wife which she initially bought unbeknownst to me! My initial reaction was met with derision until my first behind the wheel outing. Very powerful, no hunting of gears with the automatic transmission in OD, no mashing of the gas pedal in passing or accelerating situations even with the air conditioning on while going up a grade. Fits my wife like a glove which is what counts!

Terrific car for 10K - 2001 Toyota Corolla
By FryBoyJIB - September 4 - 2:00 amBought this as my first car in January. It does a great job of getting me to an from work six days a week. I love the build quality and interior fit and finish. The engine is very rev happy and the three speed auto does just fine. Interior room is just fine for two average adults with the back seat used for storage. I dont mind the so-called "plain vanilla" of the 2001 Corolla, for the simple reason that cars with "personality" (i/e the 2001 Celica) are "very ugly" and "overpriced". The dealer (Toyota of Killeen) took forever and a day (Two months) to get me a new registartion sticker for this car, but that is not Toyotas fault.

Poor interior, poor comfort - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By solace - September 3 - 8:53 amMade the mistake of not driving it any distance. Very uncomfortable. Seats headrests seem to push your head forward, and keep your neck at a bad angle. Arm rests not in correct location. Silly little plastic foot holder for left foot to rest on, reminds me of a kayak. May be reliable, but surely not any joy to drive. Cup holders do not accept regular size household coffee cup.

What a change! - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By gd - August 31 - 1:36 amUntil recently I owned three BMWs and love the "Its about the ride", but do not love it is about the money and the maintenance, so my stable has changed and I am down to one old 318i. That said, the little S is fantastic, no heated seats, but automatic lights, JBL stereo with Bluetooth for the phone to be legal and best of all appears primarily only oil changes ever 5k until about 150k miles and that is so unlike a BMW. The reliability factor is worth the change. OK it doesnt drive like a BMW but again 35 plus miles per gallon and in this economy, it just made sense.

Not all its made out to be. - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By Bill - August 29 - 12:21 pmMy 2014 Corolla has 106,000. miles on it now and other than reliability I have been mostly disappointed with it. Ive always found that the ride to be choppy and harsh. There is a lot of vibration in the steering wheel and the road noise that makes it very tiresome to drive. The seats are comfortable, but because of the low roof-line, I find it very difficult to get in and out without hitting my head on the door frame. The steering is numb and the brakes are mushy. The visibility is poor because of the high dashboard and small windows. Visibility is especially poor at night due to the terrible LED low beam headlights! These headlights cause a sharp cut-off of light above center which is like having a black curtain hanging about two car lengths in front of you. This is especially bad while going down hill which reduces the visible distance to about 1 car length. At times you can literally see pedestrians leg without a hint of their torso. Its almost funny if it werent so dangerous. I hear the low beams cost upwards of a grand to replace too, cant wait for that! The most disappointing thing about the ownership experience of this car has been the paint. Three winters of sanded roads have left the clear-coat paint on the front bumper and hood badly damaged. The black paint is dull and actually looks grey in places. Other cars I have driven under the same conditions have fared much better.

It was fine for me! - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By 2handsonwheel - August 24 - 11:50 pmTheres a bandwagon going on re:electric power steering stuff, that I myself felt strange at first. But after reading through complaints @ highway safety website and test drive one on a freeway, I think I could get used to the new technology and guess what? I did! There are lots of complaints about having to "put two hands" while going over 50+ miles and paying attention to the road all the time but HELLO? You have to anyway! Its not the car, its you who are not following proper rules of driving at high speed. If thats too tiresome, perhaps one should hire a limo driver. Sorry for my rant but I found eps is just different and if you dont like it, you should consider other cheap car.

2003 Toyota Corolla LE - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Julie - August 23 - 12:00 amI just purchased a 2003 Corolle LE a week ago. I love it! The body style is awesome, making it look much sportier than in years past. It is excellent on the gas mileage and with a moonroof it makes the trip more enjoyable. Im use to driving a large vehicle with a lot of interior room, but this Corolla is very comfortable for its small size.
