Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Not a bad car, very reliable - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By marcus - November 19 - 12:36 amAfter almost 4 years this has been a very reliable car, 48,000 miles so far. It is under powered, but I knew that when it was purchased. I have done nothing but change the oil every 3000 miles, engine wise. The brakes needed replaced at 20,000 miles, and are not that good. They have always felt soft. It does o.k in the snow, with just a couple inches. highway mileage 40 mpg, but city is lower than rated, I get around 27 MPG. Also it ate the factory set of tires pretty fast. The replacements are not doing bad though. It is nothing fancy but a good commuter car.

Brantley Family - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By L. Brantley - November 18 - 3:53 amI have really loved this car! I went from a Lumina to the Corolla last year. I enjoy driving this car plus the great gas mileage you get with gas prices so high. My husband liked mine so much he went out and bought a second one! We now have his and her and Corollas! I have the CE and he has the LE.

Corolla with no repair bills! - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By LauraJWHIT - November 11 - 7:23 pmIve had great luck with my Corolla! I follow the manufacturers guidelines for routine maintenance. Most of the many miles I put on my car are highway miles. Other than oil changes, tuneups and new tires, Ive only replaced the brakes - and that was at 98,500 miles! The mechanic didnt believe they were original. Ive yet to replace a muffler or anything else! What a well built car!

From a 95 Camry LE to a 2003 Corolla CE - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By John Cannon - November 10 - 2:33 pmI forgot to change the oil filter on my 1995 Camry LE for two years! Ouch! When it popped out, the damage estimate was $5000, so I came home with the new 2003 Corolla CE. What a joy to look at and to drive. My wife adores it. It doesnt have a blemish. We love the wind-up windows and the excellent all-round vision. Even the driving mirror is an improvement over the clunky, intrusive Camry mirror.

Larger than Life - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By John - November 7 - 2:50 pmI have had this car for two days now and its great. I am averaging 35 mpg with about 65% city driving. It doesnt take the bumps in the road as well as I had hoped (it takes them similar to my 00 Tacoma). The 09 just looks a whole lot better than the older models. Its got the redesigned front and fancier lights. The display on the dash for clock, mpg, range, should have more than one display. You cant see what time it is unless you have it on clock. In which case you cant see mpg, range, etc. Overall I am very happy with my new car. These cars are flying out of the dealerships so get one while you can!

Very reliable car - 2000 Toyota Corolla
By AICE - November 5 - 8:10 amIt might not be the most powerful car I ever driven, but it has never let me down. The fuel consumption is excellent and the service cost is really low. So far I only needed regular maintenance on this car, nothing major (currently at almost 140k).
