Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Awesome price for an awesome car!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By ADColl - March 19 - 2:00 amI submitted quote requests to about 6 dealers in the metroplex and they were VERY competitive with each other. I got a 04 LE with sunroof, security system, upgraded AM/FM, cass, cd player w/ 6 speakers, cruise control, mats, etc for $14,100. It of course has typical Toyota quality--it is extremely quite when idle or on the road, I dont feel much road bumps or noise when the sunroof is open. The only things that I dont like too much are the position on the cruise control lever and the only option for ashtray is in the cupholder and it make it a very difficult position to use.

Almost Perfect - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Fred Fischer - March 15 - 7:00 amThe Toyota Corolla gets about 36 miles per gallon whether on the highway or driving around town. The inside is very large; especially the back seat and you sit higher than other sedans on the road. The seats are very comfortable. The engine and transmision operate flawlessly. It holds about 12 gallons of gasoline so filling up costs about $20. It is very quiet and feels sturdy.

Love this car! - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By Tim in WI - March 12 - 9:54 amThis car is about 16 months old w/ about 24K miles. I had the lane change indicator reset from 3 "flashes" to 6 - the dealer did it during regular service with no problem. The stock stereo is excellent, though I added a subwoofer to get the full range of sound. I have no problems with the CVT engine. Its not going to blow the doors off most cars from the line, but Ive had no problem passing people (which I do often) when I drop it out of Eco mode. I usually travel 70 -75 MPH and I average 40 MPG. The ride is smooth, maybe a little noisy on the highway, but typical for a compact car (maybe even a little better). The Bluetooth feature is great, though it can occasionally be finicky when I stream music from my Android phone. I like the interior design, and passengers usually compliment the look of the interior. The LED headlights are awesome - firing up the brights is like turning night into day. The cruise control is well designed and I almost always use it when on the highway. I highly recommend this car to anyone interested in a car that is comfortable, easy to drive, great on gas, and has a bit of power to it. Its not a sports car, but its still fun to drive. Even after a year and a half, I still enjoy driving it every day.

Finally a car I can depend on! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By J - March 12 - 6:53 amAfter many nightmares with a Dodge Stratus and a Chevy Cavalier...I finally have a car that wont leave me hanging! I love my Corolla S! I love to drive it...its sporty, comfy and roomy. Very sharp in black with black interior and chrome accents. Running lights automatically turn to full running lights when it gets dark. Cruise control on the steering wheel is easily accesible and easy to use. Car has very responsive steering...at first a little hard to get used to as it is maybe a little too responsive. Very accommodating with lights located under the rear view mirror and cup holders in center console for both front and rear passengers. Not to mention lots of storage compartments!

Best bang for the buck. - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Dave - March 10 - 2:33 pmAfter a lot of reasearch, I decided on the Corolla. I traded an 02 Altima and wanted something sporty and economical. I cant begin to tell you how impressed and happy I am with the Corolla. It drives very smooth at speeds of 70+. I dont know why "car experts" bash the driving experience. It does everything I want it to. You just have to remember its not a race car, but its great on the highway. Everything on the inside is within reach and easy to operate. I gotta tell you, when I drive it, I forget its a Corolla, it really feels like much more. Great job Toyota!

Major problems with my car - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Brandy - March 7 - 10:20 amAdded on the 100,000 mi warranty and expected for features that had gone out to be fixed - not so. Had air conditioner problems from the time of purchase, has been worked on several times. I have learned to tap a box underneath the glovebox to get the air conditioner started at times. Power locks started going out at 40,000 mi. Eventually they all went out after the warranty expired and now I cant manually lock my doors on the drivers side. To get the power locks fixed will cost $2000-3000. Have replaced Toyota hub caps several times for about $80 dollars a piece. Plugged in a bottle warmer into the cigarette lighter, radio, dashboard features, and cigarette lighter fuse blew out.
