Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Undecided - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By giraffe lady - April 24 - 10:00 amI bought my 2003 Corolla LE in June of this year and still havent decided if it was the right decision. The handling is very poor on the highway and on windy days. There is a problem in the delay of the acceleration of the gas pedal. Not enough leg room on the drivers side. Im short and my knees almost touch the dash. Visor hits mirror even with moving it over. Poor visibility out rear view mirror due to the headrests. It may get great gas mileage and is very sharp looking, but I have to question the safety aspects of this vehicle with the confined space on the drivers side.

Not perfect but a still great car - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Alex - April 12 - 8:16 amI picked the 09 Corolla LE after test driving the 2009 Civic, Mazda 3 & Elantra models. The engine is lively for a 1.8, and it delivers the high mileage as advertised. It costs me (at current fuel cost), $50.00 to fill up and I get about 400 miles per tank.It was the least noisy and fastest of the sub compacts I test drove. Its lightweight so keep both hands on the wheel if its windy on the freeway. Responsive steering and fun to drive.

Attractive Car - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By BECKY - April 8 - 5:53 pmGreat car. The drive is smooth and the interior is soft and inviting. I still have the new car smell after almost a year of driving. The Corolla has some pretty good get-up power when you need it. Reliable and a good family car.

Fun, Reliable Car - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By Lina - April 8 - 10:16 amIve had this car for almost 2 years now. I fell in love with the color first (Speedway blue) and then liked the rest of it. LOVE the sunroof; I drive with it and my windows open every day during the summer. It handles pretty well, EXCEPT in snow! Do NOT buy this car if you live where it snows a lot. I end up taking public transportation every time it snows. I havent had any mechanical problems with it - just the regular maintenance. The only thing is the drivers window rattles and the breaks just started squeaking, but those are very minor. It is very spacious - inside the car AND trunk. Overall, great car, just wish it was better in snow!

Best Compact Sedan on the Market! - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Flyest - April 6 - 10:00 amI recently purchased my car (two months ago) and I have fell in love with it. It looks great, it’s reliable, and it has great gas mileage. I have the DX model, with all of the possible features, and I have to say...it is the "Queen" of all other 1997 Corollas. I would definitely recommend a Corolla to anyone.

A luxury car in disguise! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Copacetic - April 6 - 10:00 amMy car was special ordered with the leather package, side airbags, ABS, 6 speaker stereo system. It was built in 6 wks in Canada and delivered in record time. It feels like a luxury car and I am thrilled with it! If the badging were removed you would never guess that you are sitting in a Corolla. I do not smell the rotten egg smell that everyone complains about. The ride is very smooth and I get about 37 mpg. This car is a terrific value for the money and handles well.
