Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

I now have 740 miles on my 2003 LE Corolla. I am very happy with the car. So far there have been no problems with anything on the car. It drives like a luxury car; has a great stereo system; handles beautifully and is a great choice for anyone with a family.

This new 2003 Corolla has all the room I need. It has a great ride, quick, great on gas and the fit and the best fit and finish I have ever seen on a car of this price point. I know it will last our 1989 went 531,000 before we gave it to the kid next door and he still drives it. Great job Toyota.

We had our Corolla for 4 years now ( its a 2000MY VE 5 speed ) and we put 65000km on it, it never let us down. There was never any problems with it, it still runs on original tires and brakes. I have a feeling that this car will run forever even after 4 years it feels as solid as new. However these cars lack the driving excitment mainly because of the the soft suspension, it makes the car dance on highway with strong winds and body roll is big.

  • I will not buy again - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Nobody in my family works in the auto industry. No relative works in the auto industry either. This is my second Toyota car. I bought it in late October 2010 for about $16,665. This was bay far the biggest mistake I have ever made in buying cars. It turned out that part of one airbag was not installed properly. It seems that steering wheel will be out of control if the speed is high (say about 70 mph). There are some rattling sounds when the engine is turned on. You can not hear the rattling sound when the car is moving because the road noise is even worse. I would definitely NOT recommend this car to any friends.

At 62" and 220 lbs, I needed a car I could easily get into after back surgery. I was even able to sit in the rear seat with comfort. The Sporty, European look (without the Americanized sports trim) is cleaner. What will a rear air foil, etc., really accomplish ??? The engine is very quick and merges with ease during highway driving. And... this little beauty handles like its on rails, in part, due to the front and rear anti- sway bars. Economy... It gets 34 mpg, city. I Love It!

  • Now this is a Toyota - 2000 Toyota Corolla

I got this car used from my cousin. It had been in two different accidents and was still going strong. This model of Toyota could not be killed. Everything worked, motor sang like a sewing machine and looked very neat and clean. The only thing I didnt like was the size of the inside.

The car is ok compared to a Civic. I dont like that the car does not have an oil filter. Rattle noise on drivers side. The car does not shift properly until the engine is fully warmed up. Overall if you are looking for an economy car thats reliable and gets good gas mileage then this is the car for you. The car has no soul; not fun to drive by any means. Strictly a commuter car.

Just purchased a CE model with manuel transmission. $1000.00 rebate from toyota and the fact my dealer came off the sticker price $1500 gave me a $12500 price. Plus the fact he gave me an additional $4600 on my trade (I would have been lucky to get that much if I sold the car myself.) I got a great deal. It did take much wrangling and holding out but I got a great car for very little money. Car is fun to drive, has a huge trunk. My three kids fit nicely in the back and me and the wife are very comfortable. Looked at the prius and for a difference of about 12 grand I will stick with the corolla.

  • Love It! - 2008 Toyota Corolla

We now own 3 Toyotas and we will buy again. This was by far the smartest purchase we have ever made. We are a family of 4 and this is our main mode of transportation. Now that gas is almost at 4.00 a gallon, it takes roughly $40.00 to fill it up when it is dead on empty. We bought it for the mpg and it performs well. My husband uses it daily for work, and he is rather a large person. I would suggest this car before purchasing a Yaris. The Corolla is really a nice car that you dont mind driving if youre downsizing.
