Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Corolla CE - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By Charles - August 3 - 8:56 pmI got a great deal on this little car more than a year ago and wanted to write a review. Its been a great for in town and it drives well on longer trips. Our two children fit easily in the back seat and the trunk has plenty of room for short trips. We have a manual and our average gas mileage is 32 mpg in town and 38 mpg on the hwy. I think it is the best bang for the buck when compared to other manufactures. My experience has been great with all Toyota products.

Good carÂ… if you get a good one - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By Dave - August 3 - 10:10 amThe 2008 Corolla is a good car… if you get a good one. I bought this car because my wife and I really like our 2007 Matrix, which is in essence a Corolla wagon. Both cars have the same engine and transmission, but you would never know it. Our 2007 Matrix is smooth and quiet. The 2008 Corolla has a loud knock when the engine is cold, that diminishes when the engine warms up, but does not go away. When I had this checked out by the dealer, they confirmed it is piston slap also known as cold start knock, but informed me it is considered “normal” for this engine. I find it irritating to listen to this. I wish I had test driven the car when it was cold, before I accepted this car for delivery.

The Corollinator as shes well known as. - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Jon Austin - July 31 - 2:00 amI bought this car out of college cause it was a decent looking car and it had all the options extra options I was looking for like CD, power roof, alloy wheels, spoiler, wood trim, etc. at 12, 000 mi. I detailed cars for a living through school and she gets a good hows your father once a summer. It now has 93,000 and Ive only had to put one set of front brakes and tires on it. Thats it. I took it in for brakes at 60k and they told me "Nah, you got another 20 some odd thousand left on them. To this day, the car has a great finish, one crack in the vinyl on the side of the drivers seat. If you want a decent car that runs like a tank....Corollinator!

My new Baby! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By dacia - July 30 - 10:00 amI love this car. I just upgraded from a 2000 honda civic and I have ne regrets. It sits much higher and is easier to get in and out of. I really need that since I just had knee surgery 6 months ago and it was so hard to get in and out of my civic. I love the new body style and it rides great.

Just got it & lovin it - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Tammie - July 30 - 10:00 amI read EDMUND reviews before buying the 2003 Corolla and saw all the comments about the sun visor hitting the mirror. FYI - there is nothing wrong with the sun visor hitting the mirror. The mirror has 2 joints you can adjust. One attaches mirror to arm and arm to windshield. Move the arm of the mirror 1/4 inch to the right and you are good to go! Hope this helps!

Not up to my expectation - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By me - July 28 - 12:20 pmThis was my first brand new car and it didnt meet my expectations. Three days after I took it home the dash became loose and the side panel where you pull the seat belts out popped out. After three months, the front passenger window had really bad wind noises. I took it in to the dealer and I was told that it was normal. After five months, my brakes already needed replacement. Six months down the road, my front tire needs to be replaced. It was not worth my money to pay for. I see a lot of good reviews about the car, I surely got one that was the worst. I will never buy a Toyota again.

So far so good! - 2013 Toyota Corolla
By jasonmontreal - July 27 - 11:38 pmI recently replaced a Nissan Versa with the Toyota Corolla. So far, it has been an excellent decision! As the badging of this car is a little different in Canada, the model I bought is the base CE with the available moonroof convenience package. I saw no reason to spend more for the S, as my car has all options I could ever want. It seems that most user reviews mention lack of styling and boring driving experience. I will admit that this is not a sporty car and it does not offer the driving feel of a Mazda 3. However, I dont think the Corolla has ever tried to do anything other than what it does best - being a reliable, safe, comfortable, fuel-efficient and practical way to get around.

Excellent Car! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By peawiddle - July 26 - 2:00 amMy biggest issue is the squeeking from the rear of the interior. Driving the car is wonderful and it handles alot better than my old one. It looks great too!
