Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Good acceleration, tight steering, good cornering, excellent gas mileage, and Toyota quality , all for less than $15K. Whats not to like? Did I mention HUGE trunk space? I also dont understand the gripes about lack of power- this thing accelerates well even at highway speeds and 5th gear. Is it a sports car- no. Is it a very fun to drive econo car- very much yes!

I bought my 2010 Corolla S for an incredible price with automatic, spoiler, power package and 16 alloy wheels. I also looked at Mazda3, Kia Forte and Honda Fit. Toyota beat them all on price to my surprise; I suppose the Toyotathon helped! It drives very well for a small car and the 4cylinder auto is responsive and eager to go. Its not going to win a drag race but cruises at highway speeds very quietly and economically. Looks fairly sporty with the rear spoiler, but again its not a corvette. Very quiet at highway speeds and rides very smoothly!

We bought this car after the engine went on our 2002 Nissan Altima. Very happy with the styling, handling, etc. with the Corolla. Nice head room for my boyfriend as he is 62" vs. the Civic. Negotiated a great deal and even had the dealer put in leather seats and front seat heaters.

Reputation and peace of mind... Road trip day after purchase, good trip... Surprised at the good ride... Good highway driving... Smooth, predictable and great MPG... Needed to get used to brakes and steering... After the 400 mile trip, no problem... It is a Corolla, I read these reviews and see some expecting a mini Lexus... I am pleased so far... For the money, just dont breakdown and get good MPG and I will be satisfied...

If you look down this list you see my parents 2011 Corolla they bought new. They like it so much as do I. I just purchased my own 2011 Corolla with 20000 miles on it. A Corolla S 5 speed! They are the perfect little car! No complaints and they drive good! Dont believe the lies!

  • Good car for the price - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Leased a 2010 Corolla S (auto) to have reliable, trouble free, safe transportation for the next 3 years. I have a second kid on the way, and while my car is not the "family" car (wife drives a Sienna), there are still times we need to use my car, and the Mustang just isnt going to work with a rear facing car seat. ;) Anyways, the car is very comfortable to drive, but in no way exciting. Its basic transportation, and does well at this. The looks are sporty, but thats as far as the sportiness goes. Power is adequate, but lacking. The 4 speed transmission is outdated compared to the competition. The rated city fuel economy is optimistic. 24 mpg city is reality.

  • Amazing car! - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I bought this car in 2005. I have over 200, 000 miles and it is still going strong. This car has taken me to so many states and so many places. It is hard to part with)because of the memories I have had). I just finally starting to look at a new vehicle because I need an SUV for work. I am considering the RAV4 because I just had routine maintenance with my Corolla (nothing major). This car has also held up so well in wrecks. It is extremely safe.

I really like the Toyota Corolla S. The vehicle has great pick up and drives very quietly. The features such as the clock, wipers, radio set up are very easy to figure out - therefore user friendly.

  • BEST CAR ON THE MARKET FOR THE $$ - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I recently traded in my 03 Corolla S for an 05. I thought the 03 was outstanding! The 05 is even better! I love this car, it has power, space and style. I am 24 and have a 2 year old. When purchasing this car I took into consideration the safety, reliability and of course overall look. It has a sporty exterior with all the comforts of a family sedan. Plus the price cant be beat for the quality!! I recommend this car to anyone!
