Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • I loved this car! - 1995 Toyota Corolla

This is a great fun car! Fun to drive, easy to handle, comfortable, good gas mileage. It has very small blindspots. Protects driver well in a crash...believe me- I know.

Great little car with lots of pep. Excellent gas mileage and roomy inside, trunk included. I bought it new and it now has 30000 miles. It did have a low air conditioner freon charge that the dealer repaired. Now it has Rusty Wheels which the dealer/Toyota will not repair even though the car is still under warranty. This car has always been well maintained. So watch out they may have made Corolla wheels out of the left over steel from the Tundra frames

  • Best car ever! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I bought this car brand new off the lot and 12 years, and 250,000 miles later, still running like new! Very very minimal maintenance required for this car! i have barely done oil changes and only other repairs were replacing sway bar, a sensor that went at about 180k, and thats it! Even mechanics have told me that this is one of the best cars that toyota has put out and i very much believe that.

I have been very pleased so far. Reliable transportation and averaging 37 mpgs! Wish I could have afforded a camry, though.

This is one RELIABLE vehicle! I use it to drive long distances over a three state area. It was purchased by my wife nine years ago and I took over driving it with 86000 miles on it when we bought a Camry that she wanted to drive. I now have 208000 miles on it and it shows no sign of letting up. I perform regular maintenance on it. Only problem we had with it was the alternator and one of front CV joints. (both were replaced) This little baby has great pickup from a stop and plenty of power at higher speeds. (ever drive I95 north of Richmond, you know what I mean) I understand that this particular car was built in Japan - those guys sure knew what they are doing didnt they?

  • Great Car - 2003 Toyota Corolla

We got this car based on the reputation, gas MPG and based on the looks!! rep of Corollas is outstanding and it looked so much better than any other small car out there at the time. This car has held up to its rep of being a GREAT reliable car!!! This car looks good and drives well and gets even better gas mpg with the manual tranny that we chose. We average with city/hwy as we always drive both during the week anywhere from 29 to 37 depending on how fast we drive that week! The AC is always on since we do live in Texas. HIGHLY recommend this car!!!!

  • Happy with it - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Kids are grown up now, just needed a reliable commuter car with good gas mileage for going to work. Got the sporty loaded model and it looks nice for the price. Heated mirrors, sunroof, climate control, stitching, bigger rims & tires and nav are nice in this type/priced car. And I got an amazing deal since the 2014s were just out. It drives very average, is weak on power, and the interior fit and finish is old school, but for the value i couldnt find better. At the time, a similar Civic EX was almost $5k more. Now at 40k miles with zero issues, just oil changes and tire rotations. Even the tires still have a good 25k of tread left. I knew exactly what I was getting when I purchased it, and has fully lived up to my expectations. Would recommend, just dont expect much refinement in this model.

Excellent compact car, reliable and with the comfort of a bigger car. Trunk space is great. Other than gas, regular oil change and tire rotation nothing has been required.

  • Great run around car - 2009 Toyota Corolla

Purchased car to save mileage, have SUV for winter time, needed car to run errands. 10,000 miles and getting 35 mpg still. Great on 2 hr road trips. Comfortable and easy to park downtown or at mall.
