Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

I bought a used corolla. No problems but the ride quality is not that good. It rides rough even after me changing the shocks

  • Hopeful but doubting... - 2003 Toyota Corolla

Minor flaws of this car eventually led to a major disappointment. The air button broke and when it was repaired by Toyota, the dash became scratched since it is made from poor quality plastic. The car is ALL over the road on mildly windy days and I am in dire need of ABS that were unobtainable at my time of purchase on any Corolla model in my area. My worst gripe is the foul smell of rotten eggs that has been blowing out of my interior air vents everytime I turn on the heat. This smelly problem has been happenning since 1000 miles. Lastly, my brakes slip constantly at red lights and brief stops. Numberous attempts for redemption by Toyota have failed.

I love this car. I could afford a new car, but I will drive this til it dies. Great gas mileage 25-30. Hauls lots of stuff but is small enough for parking in tight spaces.

  • CE 5spd - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I bought this used in Sept. 05 with 50K on it and now have over 114K on it. I havent had a single issue with it. Its not flashy, but with the 5spd its fairly peppy and fun to drive. Surprisingly roomy and easy riding on the highway. 36/38 mpg in the winter 40/42 in the summer, pretty much all highway miles.

  • Love This Car! - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I purchased my 2007 Toyota Corolla LE, 5-speed manual transmission car from a dealer in 2011 after parting ways with my 96 Honda Civic. I love this car. It has great get up and go and is super reliable. When I first got this car, I had a long highway commute each day and I got amazing gas mileage (36 MPG). Two years ago, I moved and my commute is now a 10 minute drive through town and even though my MPG dropped is is still averaging about 33 MPG. Not bad! When I purchased the car it had 75,000 miles on it and since then I have nearly doubled that to 135,000 miles. It is still going strong. No issues. No super expensive repairs, just regular maintenance. This car is great! I had planned (and would love) to drive this car until it refuses to go anymore but our family acquired two large dogs so I am forced to seek out a larger vehicle. But I am sad to see my car go! I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

  • refined ride - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I just traded in my 97 Toyota Corolla for an 03 Corolla S, and I am completely amazed. Its very quiet at highway speeds, well at every speed. Its very refined, and the gas mileage just makes me smile. The interior room is very deceptive when looking at the car from the outside, its huge inside. The stock audio system (6spkAM/FM/CD) is okay. Overall this is a lot of car for the money, and with Toyotas reputation there was no other choice for me.

  • Excellent Vehicle!!! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I love my vehicle it is just excellent! The seats are comfortable, its all just so perfect. I used to always buy fords until my corolla, now ill never want a ford again. The only flaw that i have found in this vehicle is its lack of power compared to the weight of the vehicle.

I have driven many makes and models and this is by far my favorite! Easy to drive, lots of go, good on gas, easy to park. I highly recommend this car.

  • My First Toyota - 2007 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This is the first Toyota I have owned and it is an amazing car. My last 3 cars have been Pontiacs and this is by far the best. After reading reviews I was a little hesitant to purchase a Corolla, Im 64" and 230 lbs. I fit in the car just fine. The drivers seat is comfortable and I have no problems reaching the steering wheel, although I do understand a need for a telescopic steering wheel. The car rides and drives great. I hope to get 250,000 miles out of it, or until the wheels fall off. Whatever comes first. I just sold a Firebird and the Corolla puts the bird to shame as far as handling and drive-ability. Go get one today, dont wait. The gas mileage is great too, highway/city.
