Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Corolla Sport Options - 2009 Toyota Corolla

The design of the 2009 Corolla Sport model leaves a lot to be desired. First, they do not offer intermittent wipers at all in this model which was a shock. The head rests on the seats lean forward and your head is up against the headrest. The front seats do not go back far enough so you are cramped. The clock is not separate anymore. There is a button you have to push 7 times to get back around to the clock, located behind the wheel to the left. Look before you buy a Sport model. Do not assume that normal options come in every model. I love Corollas but I hate the Sport model. Its still fun to drive but I cant get comfortable. I prefer driving my mothers 2006 Corolla.

  • Some parts should be recalled - 2002 Toyota Corolla
    By -

The door handle was broken in two years. I put two brand new catalytic converters on it the engine light comes back on again. It can not pass the annual inspection even though it still runs good with 125,000 miles on it. Its a pain to go through the inspection every year. It should last a life time.

  • Affordable, Reliable, Economical... - 2002 Toyota Corolla
    By -

When we first purchased the car, it was for my son to use to get to and from school. Rising insurance and gas prices have pushed me to utilize the vehicle more often. Ive seen that in the past few months I have been using our Corolla more than my son! The car is a perfect, not overdone or underdone, combination of performance, value, and comfort. It just works! Id recommend this car for anyone.

  • 2006 Corolla CE, Cactus, 5-speed - 2006 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This is an excellent little car. Its solid, built very well, looks good, gets great gas mileage and has a lot of space for a compact car. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who is not over 6 or 225 pounds. It is a compact car, and I believe large people would find it too small. Finding the right driving position will take some time, but once you find it you will feel comfortable. I changed my stock 185 Goodyear Integrity tires to 195 Yokahama Avid TRZ. This made a big difference in the ride and comfort.

  • NO NOT CE PLEASE................... - 2001 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I bought the CE in May 2001 have 18500 on odo. The car is fun to drive except with ac on which feels like dragging a ton behind. The worst part is the CE is 3 speed automatic which pulls the fun to drive, but once over 30 it is good. It have a good milage and pretty smooth engine. The steering is a bit scary on highway (above 60) ans can be a problem if u have a huge lorry besides u. The interior is cramped and good for 4 small size adults or 2 tall adults. Another part is CE does not come with Rear folding seat and u have to dig a small hole in u r wallet for that.

  • Love my Little Station Wagon - 1995 Toyota Corolla
    By -

July 4, 2005, was my tenth anniversary with this car. I will keep it until it falls to pieces. It has good fuel economy, fits in tight parking spaces, and holds a ton of stuff when the rear seat is folded down. Its also peppy on the highway. I have had no major repairs in 72,000 miles. Unfortunately Toyota stopped making Corolla station wagons in 1996, so I cant get another one. Id buy another in a minute.

  • Great car will last a long time! - 2001 Toyota Corolla
    By -

My parents bought me a brand new Corolla a few years ago to get me to school and work. They said I could use it while I was in college, and after graduation I could either turn it back over to them or keep it and pay them back, but I cant imagine ever parting with my Corolla! The reliability of this car is outstanding for a young, single woman who doesnt know anything about cars. As long as you maintain it well, your Corolla will never let you down. I get well over 300 miles per tank, and I have never had it in the shop. I would definitely recommend a Corolla to anyone looking for a mid-sized commuter car that gets great gas mileage.

  • Nice Car - 2004 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I bought this car for my wife to drive. She toattly loves it. I am 62" and I fit in it comfortably. We havee the LE with cruise and the winter package. Toyota does a nice job with the features standard with the LE. SO far we are very happy with it. I considered a Focus and a Civic. The Civic was about a $1000 more and the Focus with $2500 rebate would have been about $1000 less. Overall I feel this was the best deal given the price and the realibiblity I expect from it going forward.

  • great gas saver - 2004 Toyota Corolla

I am very happy with my Corolla so far, plenty of power with the 5-speed. It is a very smooth riding car. The best thing to me is the mpg. I am getting between 41-47 mpg!

The Corolla is an all around great car. Great styling inside and out, great gas milage, great ride (even on Pennsylvania roads), I love it. The up hill acceleration is a bit slow, but still a bit better than my 96 Neon. I spend about an hour and 40 mins driving my car every day, so i know what I am talking about.
