Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Corolla review 123 - 2017 Toyota Corolla
By Alan Feiveson - April 24 - 9:41 pmOne thing kept us from considering this car. The visibility out the back was very poor due to the high rear seat headrests.

Reliable - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By Farmer Sue - April 24 - 6:10 pmI bought this car new and have just over 175,000 miles on it. The only items I have replaced are the front struts, brakes, tires, and other routine maintenance items. Very reliable.

I hate what you do for me Toyota. - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By mcgovern1981 - April 24 - 10:27 amSort and sweet. 3 recalls unsure if my car was ever safe to drive. An interior that constantly squeaks. Finally the last straw at 68k Im told I need a new transmission because Im getting a clicking noise whenever I take my foot of the gas they say its a broken tooth on the pinion drive gear..... Theres your legendary reliability. I wonder how much pro reviewers get paid to praise these cars.

Best Car Ive Ever Owned! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Happy Driver! - April 24 - 7:40 amGot this car used with 70,000 miles and it gave me no problems whatsoever. I drove this car from November 2008 until March 2010 and the only thing I had a problem with was the locks. This car is reliable, handles well and can last an eternity if taken care of it well. The only reason I dont have it is because it got stolen! =( but my next purchase will be a Corolla S Type once again. The Corolla S types built from 2003 to 2008 are gold!

Sold on Toyota - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Sold on Toyota - April 21 - 2:10 amWe bought the first year of the current generation of Corollas, which isnt always a good idea. It is our first Toyota, and it wont be our last. In just under four years, we have had NO problems with the Corolla, except replacing the tires after just 20,000 miles. It holds four family members (two teenagers, not children) and all our luggage on our non-camping vacations. Unlike one of the other reviewers, our paint looks great. We may never buy anything but a Toyota again.

By shane - April 20 - 1:10 pmAs a college student, what I really want is something that is reliable (read = cheap to maintain), safe, and fuel efficient. The Corolla fits the bill.

Get rid of old gas guzzlers - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Mario - April 18 - 7:16 amThis Corolla replaced 1987 Pontiac 6000. What a difference. On one tank I made 423 miles using 10.6 gallons of gas approximately 40 miles per gallon. This car was purchased based on experience from my Camry.

traded 2009 Corolla for 2013 - 2013 Toyota Corolla
By dftampa - April 18 - 7:04 amI had enough issues with my 2009 Corolla to trade in for a new 2013 Corolla. So far I really enjoy driving this vehicle and cannot wait for a road trip. Compared to the 2009 version the 2013 Corolla drives like a luxury vehicle. The pep seems to match the 2009 vehicle which is not spectacular but adequate and I love some of the standard items that added to help Toyota keep up with the American car makers.
