Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Value Captures Performance - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Have owned an 01 Avalon, 02 Camry, and 06 Avalon w/ highest regard for my purchases and vehicle performances. Purchased 07 Corolla 3 weeks ago. The Corolla fits into the same value and performance as those Toyos of previous. Clearly not a sports car. Clearly not the most vivacious exterior. Clearly not my 06 Avalon. However, this vehicle matches my travel needs extremely well. My auto tran is delivering 36 mpg with a quiet and smooth ride. I drive 700 miles per week for business, and this vehicle exceeds expectations for travel and value. I highly recommend the 07 Corolla to anyone in need of a driving machine that delivers and keeps you driving vs. in service shops.

  • What happened to comfort? - 2006 Toyota Corolla

The driver’s seat is extremely uncomfortable and cannot be adjusted for comfort. It has a lump in it that shoves up on the back of the hips, forcing the driver to lean forward and shoving up on the spine. The seat sits far too high – what are they doing, trying to imitate a SUV? The pump on the side of the seat is a joke, more of a gimmick toy than an adjusting tool. The adjustable steering wheel is dangerous as you must remember to shove the locking lever back. I have never had a car that rides so extremely poorly and I have driven 50 years. On smooth pavement it is fine, but you feel every bump in the road otherwise. It rides more like my Wrangler than the car I wanted.

  • The best small non-hybrid car going - 2009 Toyota Corolla

I wanted a fuel efficient small car and after comparing the new Corolla to the Civic, Cobalt, Fusion, Caliber and Sentra, the Corolla was a clear winner. It has great room, awesome fuel economy and overall is very well refined. The 1.8l engine couldnt be called fast but its peppy enough and acceleration is good. Coming from BMWs and a Lexus its a little noisier on the highway but other than that it has very few downsides.

This is a great car for the beginning family. It accomodates taller individuals well. However, I do find the driving position akward at times. A telescoping steering wheel would solve this problem. If you are looking for a well rounded car with a great reliability recorded stop looking. If your looking for spice and performance go else where.

  • A monument to transportation! - 1994 Toyota Corolla

Bought this car used with 130,000 miles for my wife to drive to work. I change the oil myself. Nothing, I mean nothing but oil has been touched on it with 229,000 miles on it now. I will definitely but another one in a minute. We drove it to Las Vegas from Sacramento. No problems through deserts, uphills and downhills, twisty mountains, or gas stations. We now take it everywhere we go without a thought.

  • Great car, highly recommend this vehicle. - 2009 Toyota Corolla

I have 72k miles on my car and it has not given me any problems so far. Absolutely love this car and will be keeping it for awhile. Lacks on power on highway when passing but I usually put the car in 3rd gear and haul tail. I travel alot and have noticed my car gets around 40-45 mpg highway, thats when i add fuel cleaner and gas treatment. I also put a k&n air filter in it as well and it has improved on performance and gas mileage. I had a 1999 camry and totaled it, had around 145k miles on it and it was also a good vehicle as well. Will definately buy a new corolla when i want a new car.

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the 2005 Corolla LE. The body style is very attractive and the handeling is very responsive and enjoyable to drive. I had a problem with the front fog light fillers. They both fell out and had to be replaced. I also found the front bumper, near the undercarriage cracked. I did not hit anything and was not pleased with the quality of the design. The dealership replaced the front fillers. I was pleased with the dealership, they handled the problem well. I feel that the design should have been better. The bumper should be more sturdy than it is. Other that that, I love my new car. It is peppy, smooth, handles good, and good looking.

Fun to drive. Very fuel efficient and economical to maintain. Responsive engine for a four cylinder manual. Original equipment tires (Goodyear Integrity) were marginal-replaced with Goodyear Regatta II which have worn well and handled well under all road conditions. Would buy another with no hesitation. The 32-40mpg definately helps with todays gas prices.

  • You know what youre getting - 2009 Toyota Corolla

This is an outstanding car and the cost of ownership is super low. Yes, its a "bit" banal compared to some cars but in its class, maybe only the Civic feels a little zippier. The drive in the wind and the clock are both irksome features but neither should stop you from actually getting this car.
