Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Watch the wind. - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Davkuy - September 12 - 10:00 amI have owned a Toyota in the past, and felt comfortable buying another, after having owned a 99 Neon. I bought a stylish looking 03 Corolla, and was not disapointed... Until I drove it home. I commute 164 miles a day round trip on a highway that is quite windy year round. I hit a wind gust of about 35 and it blew me a lane over. Holding onto the wheel (which could be a foot closer to the driver) was a white knucled affair. Ordinarily this wouldnt be a problem, but putting 50000 miles a year on it, I need it to feel right. Unfortunately I had to return it and get my old car back. The car is just too tall for its wheelbase.

Perfect commuter car - 2011 Toyota Corolla
By toyoworld - September 8 - 2:00 pmI looked at every car out there and to me the Corolla was the best for what I needed. Toyota is known for resale and engines that go forever. I put over 250k on my Avalon and its still going strong. The mazdas were to loud and will not last, the hondas were to much money and I will not buy a hyuandi because they are simply not on the same level in quality regardless of what they say. Kia Forte was sharp looking but drove and rode the worst of the group. The corolla is the best selling car in the world for a reason.

Fun to Drive! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By ccheval - September 7 - 10:00 amMy city driving economy is fantastic, 33.7 on my last tank. The doors fit perfectly, the finish is excellent. This car has more horsepower and torque than the Civic, yet slightly better epa numbers.

Great car - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By jose - September 6 - 11:23 pmThis is a car for those who prefer quiet and comfort to a sport like driving experience. It provides all the right stuff. I have driven the competition, particularly the Mazda3, and yes it is a more spirited driving machine. However, where in any week or any place will you need such a driving experience? I would buy another in a minute.

First Foriegn Automobile - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By David Loper - September 5 - 2:26 amI was of the opinion that I would never buy another American automobile again, because of repairs, when I purchased my 2008 Toyota Corolla. The Corolla has changed my mind back to buying American. The Corolla gives a rough ride and, within 24,000 miles, has given me several problems. The problems are: poor handling in the ice and snow, loose steering, front brake assembly recall, constant rear brake adjustments, wipers that dont cycle properly, power windows that cycle properly, tires that need constant filling, squeaky frame when under load, and loose gasoline filler tube.

33,333 miles yesterday - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By daved58 - September 4 - 9:57 pmPurchased the car in April of 2008. Have had only one issue of a rattle in the interior and was fixed in August of 08. I am 6 4 tall and I love this car. And maybe the paint is somewhat thin since I have a few rock chips on the hood; as I have had with all other cars that I have owned. But I have to say that I really do love this car. No issues so far. The steering can get you into trouble if you are not an advanced driver. It is very easy to over steer in a critical situation. Had a lane encroachment on the freeway and it was a very exciting event. Be sure to keep both hands on the wheel....and please no texting while driving over 35mph. But I really do love this car. Would buy again.

Exceptional Value - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By ROGER A YOUNG - September 3 - 7:03 pmI traded in my 02 Civic EX for my 05 Corolla and have not been disappointed! I have more car for the same price and with no problems that I had with my Civic. Dealer service for regular maintenance has been very good as well. I got more car versus the Civic for the same price! I plan on keeping my Corolla for many years.

Great Ride - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Hood - September 2 - 11:13 pmId still have this car if it wasnt destroyed in a car accident. I had 71k miles and the only thing I had to do was change the battery this past fall which in the grand scheme is minor. The car rode smooth and was the best as far as gas went. Very affordable!

Toyota Corolla 1995 - 1995 Toyota Corolla
By dly - September 1 - 2:40 pmBest car I have ever had. First Corolla 1979 model had over 300,000 miles before engine was done. 1995 Corolla have only had to change starter couple of times.
