Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Corolla S Model - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By TSF - October 7 - 2:00 amThe car rides and handles well-adding TRD strut brace did improve cornering stability. The CD player is very good for a factory unit. The interior comfort is amoung the best I have encountered. Dealer was nice to deal with. Braking is solid on this car, but std anti-lock would be nice. Performance is brisk with the std. 1.8L engine, fuel milage was good as well. There is room in the engine compartment for do-it-yourselfers too. Overall, this car is fun to drive and offers a good balance of economy and performance-TRD parts are available for the more performance minded. Would buy again...

The best car ive owned...yet! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Sal D - October 7 - 2:00 amMy first car was 2002 Pontiac Firebird..and I must truely admit, no problems, but when I got this car instead of it (the corolla) it was like nothing ive ever experienced. The car felt as one, as though indestructible, the mileage was another impressive incentive on the car, and the design, well I dont think those ground effects could look any better. If they continue increasing the looks of this car, ill get one every 3 years, hands down on that one! Go TOYOTA!

2003 Corolla - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By paulz - October 6 - 10:00 amThe 2003 Toyota Corolla delivers great mileage and excellent quality. The LE model is fully featured, by far the best value for the money in its class. And it wasnt as expensive as advertised.

Oil Change is a pain - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By J Brown - October 5 - 2:30 amApparently two engine types. One with conventional oil filter...and mine. You have to remove a plastic housing that has a "cardboard-like" filter insert. An o-ring mus be changed and a new washer should be bought for the drain plug, at each oil change. A serious step back in engineering!!! Requires more time and mess. Filter inserts are more expensive than conventional filter. Glad I change my own oil. Would be afraid cheap oil service centers would not have proper filter and charge you for changing...without actually changing filter. Different topic: Paint extremely thin..hardly takes anything to scratch to metal. Gas mileage...lucky to get 30mpg with my automatic, disappointed!

This car is a pleasure - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Jerseygirl - October 3 - 3:00 pmId like to know where the people who claim their Corolla doesnt drive well in wind live? We recently had a windy day (up tp 60 mph gusts) and I was driving on the highway doing 60+..NO PROBLEMS!! I used to have a truck and let me tell you this car is a pleasure, no steering problems..drives just fine in wind, and rain. Maybe you just bought a lemon?

Steering - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By Aqua Girl - October 3 - 2:26 pmWow, I thought it was just me but reading what others say the steering is kinda weird. I hate the small sun visors and not much tint on the window. We did get leather seats and the touring package which was added by the dealer. I think the car is low to the ground and I prefer my Quest over this any day. Not much leg room in the back to my liking, but great for kids. Its perfect for commuting not much else. The sound system is okay, not the best.

Great Value - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By CorolloaDriver - October 1 - 10:30 amTraded in a gas guzzling, cramped Mustang. One of the best decisions I made last year. We are much happier with the Corolla.

Lovely Car - 2013 Toyota Corolla
By erinn06 - October 1 - 5:49 amThis is my husband and Is first new car. We absolutely love it. I have to agree and disagree with some of what Edmunds says about the car. The interior design is very nice to me. I love the touch screen music player; we listen to a lot of music and so that is important. However then again as a music person, the speakers could use just a bit more pep and refining. Also its acceleration is a bit lacking, but over all it is a wonderful car and I do feel safe driving it with my infant daughter. We bought this car in a charcoal grey, which is also very lovely.

Great Economy Car - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By HLB - September 30 - 5:46 pmThis is my third Toyota Corolla. We have also had a 2001 and 2004 (still own). Overall, the interior could have been made with better quality materials, but for the price and level of reliability this is a great car. Right now, I drive a combination of city and highway and I am averaging 33 MPG (better than both the 01 and 04). So far, no complaints or issues. It has been pleasant to drive.
