Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Great Value and Comfortable Commuter - 2008 Toyota Corolla

I purchased the Sport to replace a bare-bones 02 CE and absolutely love it. I could find no comparison in the mileage and value and feel spoiled. I see a new side of the Econo-box, you can get a fully loaded comfortable car for a good price. I commute 200 miles each day and love the ride quality and comfort. There is little road noise and so far with just over 7k miles I average 37-38mpg in a mix of highway and N. VA traffic, about 390 miles before the reminder light comes on, trying for 400. I sometimes wish for more horsepower but the motor is still smooth and able and for the mileage I suppose there has to be some give.

I bought this car as a commuter and was glad when the only one left on the lot was the S model. This is my first Toyota and I will definitely buy another one in the future. I highly recommend the S model for the sportier feel and added amenities. This is a daily driver that I put 100 miles per day on.

I love my new Corolla! This car was sooooo affordable yet sooo fun to drive. Ever sice I was a child I wanted a Toyota Corolla S! I love this car. Everything is great about this car, not one flaux! The acceleration is good for the class and I love the seat comfort and outward visibility. The car preformed wonderfully on my drive up north. This car is wonderful and I recommend this car to everyone!

  • Best car for money - 2003 Toyota Corolla

This car reigns. Its really like a mini-Lexus. The doors shut with a muffled thud, the leather seats are comfortable, and the dash is assembled with airtight spacing between panels. I didnt like the S model side panels and rear spoiler. But the LE looks like a mini-Camry and drives like a mini-Lexus. Road/wind noise is really really low for a car in this class. Great ride. Most of my friends cant believe this is a Corolla. And they cant believe I got all features, ABS, leather, power moonroof, cruise control, power everything for $16K + tax.

  • Best car in the World! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I have owned Toyota Corollas since 1972 & dont plan to ever own any other brand. The previous autos I owned (all purchased new, by the way) were a nightmare - frequent repairs, breaking down in the middle of the road, etc. YUCK! My Corollas have been completely dependable and trouble free for about 200,000 miles. The body construction seems to be strong: I have been hit HARD by other drivers and walked away unhurt.

  • Best Purchase Ive ever made - 2010 Toyota Corolla

This car is not just economical and reliable, but its also beautiful and fun to drive! Im 20 years old and just got my 2nd corolla 2 days ago. My first one was a 2005. What a huge upgrade in features Toyota made. Absolutely wonderful vehicle for the price.

  • Best investment ever - 1996 Toyota Corolla

I bought this car with only 17,000 miles on it and drove it into the ground with 180,000. The only thing I replaced outside of nomral oil changes, brake discs and tires was the radiator and that was at the very end of the life of this car. I t got amazing gas mileage and it zipped in and out of traffic. It does not have a lot of get up and go, and it is a very basic design but this is a great starter car for a new driver!!

  • Great little ride - 2017 Toyota Corolla

Wow what a great car. Impressed with quality of interior and exterior styling. Great ride and drives like a race car!

  • Old mans car - 2009 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I was looking for an old mans car when I bought this one. From that perspective I couldnt be happier. Ive got a dealership installed leather option called a Platinum package. The electric power steering is reminiscent of the old (50s) luxury cars and I love it! One finger steering at idle! I only have 1700 miles on it but am seriously impressed. The lack of styling is disappointing, reminds me of a 51 Willys sedan, but I didnt buy it to impress anyone. The interior is comfortable and quiet. I had a 2008 rental for a couple of weeks, and this is much better (I wouldnt have bought a 2008 model. Ive had 2 Toyotas, a 1970 Corona MKII and a 1987 pickup. They were both rock solid reliable.

  • Awesome car! - 2001 Toyota Corolla

Love this car! Bought it used with 86000 miles, and it is now at 200100 miles and runs like a charm. Minor maintenance needed, spark plugs, fuel injector, tires and other things. I drive about 100+miles a day and I never hve to worry about breaking down. Take care of this car and it will take care of you! I love the sporty look it has and it is compact.
