Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • BUY IT!!! - 1996 Toyota Corolla

This is the second one I owned and I must say I love them. 100% reliable. Always starts. Almost 200K on it and still purrrs like a kitten. Nice speed out of them too. I would tell anyone that if the price is right go for it. I had the one before and it lasted 250K until I let someone use it. Clutch was gone when they came back. Didnt think it was worth the fix.

  • Great Car - 1994 Toyota Corolla

I had this car for 12 years bought it new. In 12 Years we had 1 unexpected expense (Cdn $551 - water pump). If you keep up the fluid changes (oil and tranny) and little repairs (brakes, light bulbs, etc.), the car would last easily 500,000 km. Unfortunately for us, a person rear-ended us and the car was written off. A GMC panel van hit us at 50/km (30 mph) without even breaking. I took the insurance money for the car and went and straight and bought a brand new 2006 Corolla. I can only hope the quality on the 2006 CE is a good as the 2004 Toyota Corolla DX was. If you are looking for a second hand 94 Corolla I would recommend a "one owner" version - at least you would think it has been taken care of.

This was my 19th Birthday present. Well its not bad livin in da urban area and drivin in tight spaces and tighttt corners. The S type is not bad to show off and the styling and its performance is really cool. And the Gas mileage is awesome. I been rought on it but it has handled it and so far no complaints.

  • I hate this car! - 2017 Toyota Corolla

I have been a Toyota fan since I bought my first one in the 1960s, I havent owned any other brand and I was never disappointed until 2016. I was extremely happy with my 2004 and never would have given it up(it only had 48,000 mi.) if it wasnt totaled by another driver. At low speeds(30mph) the car hesitates as if I am continually touching the brake. At highway speed (60mph) the car does not hold the road and drifts, so I am constantly steering to hold the car steady. At my six month checkup they told me the car was performing normally and this was backed up by a case manager at Toyota headquarters. I have the temperature set at 66 degrees, but the air always seems too hot or too cold. I am short and I find the visibility poor. I am also over 65 so I am not a fan of having to program everything, but thats my problem, not the cars. Well, thats enough complaining for now.

  • Great but.............. - 2006 Toyota Corolla

So far after 1700 miles I only HATE 2 things. 1. The pedals for gas/brake/shifting were designed only for people with size 5 or smaller shoes. My Size 13s are constanly getting tangled in the tiny pedals. 2. Shifting into 2nd gear seems to be a challenge for this clutch as it tends to grind loudly unless the pedal is press extra hard to the floor when shifting. I would buy and automatic possibly but never a manual with this pedal dimensions and clutch.

This is my third corrolla. Excellent car with hardly any repairs. Only get 30 mpg. 2003 corolla is much improved.

i have had a great time with my new corolla. it is a great car. it looks like the much more expensive sister car the lexus is 300 but substantially less expensive.overall i would recommend this car to consumers.

  • Great car for the money - 2008 Toyota Corolla

This is a great car for the money. I traded in my Durango for an LE specifically for gas mileage. My first tank averaged about 37 miles per gallon. The interior is roomy and comfortable. Its pretty nice looking for an inexpensive car.
