Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Excellent car - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By Miami305 - March 1 - 12:56 pmI am the second owner of this particular car and it was maintained well. A/C freezing cold and burns gas well. In my opinion, if you maintain this car it will not give any issues. I change the oil every 3000 miles and do a tranny flush every 5,000, radiator flush every 3,000 miles. It runs great and if you want it a little faster change the stock air filter and exhaust, mines reaches 50 really quickly. Just maintain it it will last you until your ready for a new car.

2004 Corolla S - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Rick - February 28 - 10:13 pmAnother excellent Toyota product. I owned a 2000 corolla and the 2004 adds a bit more sportiness to the equation. It handles better and is a bit more refined than its predecessor. Mileage is still excellent and power from the engine is above average for its class. Overall I am very happy with this car.

Disapppointed - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By disappointed - February 28 - 5:53 amI had a Camry that I loved. It averaged 30 mpg. It was a 1993 so time for a new car. I decided to go down to a Corolla since I didnt need such a large car. But I am so disappointed. I am averaging 17 miles a gallon city driving. I took it back to the dealership and they claim that is the average for this car. Of course when I bought it the sticker said 29 mpg for city driving. I would never have purchased it if it said 17 mpg. I did buy it used. It was 3 years old with low mileage. Also was certified. But have already had dead battery twice, which they did replace.

Poor Quality in a Corolla - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By merh - February 24 - 12:26 pmMy family has owned Toyotas for as long as I can remember. We had a great 1984 corolla that lasted FOREVER, over 200,000. My 2004 corolla however is not match. I am rolling up on 100,000 miles and had more small problems that I can stand. So far in the a 6ish years that I have had the car, I have had to replace the serpentine belt twice and the pulley system once. To add insult to injury, the belt started squeaking again with in a year of it being replaced! The lights on the gear shift are burnt out and Ive had to have the window pulley system replaced. The steering wheel is too recessed in the dash. Toyota made the car more "lux" but definitely skimped on the quality. It feels cheap!

So far so good! - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Claire Waters - February 22 - 6:06 pmI traded in my 02 Taurus (which stink) for the 09 Corolla. So far I enjoy this car. The seat fabric on the S model is really nice. I have a dog and it is easy to vacuum. I drive mostly highway and so far with about 1000 miles I have gotten 34.5 MPG according to the cars calculation. One suggestion I have for all new owners is to immediately armorall the plastic on the interior of the car. It scratches pretty easily but the armorall takes care of that and makes it look a lot better! I love this car!

Outstanding value and fuel economy - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Ed - February 20 - 5:43 amThe Toyota Corolla was a fine purchase. The engine is rather peppy when you need it and the LE trim offers some nice features and gadgets. A roomy trunk and back seat was a nice suprise and my car seats four adults comfortably.
