Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Gotta love it - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Toyzrme - April 25 - 2:00 amAfter testing it came to the Civic vs Corolla. Close call, but the Corolla had a more substantial feel to it. I also like the enterior of my LE better as it has a european quality to it. Good mileage, 33 to 40 on the highway. Excellent ride on highway for car class. Rougher on bumps than I would like. Acceleration is ok with the 4 speed auto. A little noisier when accelerating than the Prizm cousin it replaced. great sound system with the top of the line speaker option. Had a squeek in dash , but it has gone away. Could be the plastic Pretty good driver, but not sporty. If you are looking for a solid, dependable car consider the Corolla.

Satisfied customer - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Manatee Co. Fl. - April 22 - 2:23 amI use this car for back and forth to work and get 34-36 mpg year round and 40 on the highway. It is roomy for its size and with the backseat down I can carry all sorts of things.

Good Mileage - not much else unfortunately - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By jring123 - April 20 - 5:44 amHad this as a rental for 2 weeks - looked like [violative content deleted] outside (scratched, chipped and dented all around) and inside (seat fabric worn, plastic color rubbed off everywhere) after a year - albeit with 30k miles. Even if one reckons in careless handling it did look worse than any other rental I had - including a lot older ones. Performance was ok but not more - I guess Im spoiled by my saab turbo... Steering was unremarkable, what was a bit strange was the whole Traction Control, Anti-Skid Brake and Cruise Control unit - see below. Seats and Interior were very uncomfortable for my 62" - seats dont go back far enough for sufficient legroom and hard plastic on door and dash hurts legs.

First Toyota - 2001 Toyota Corolla
By XtremeBiker278 - April 13 - 3:23 amI bought this car little less than two weeks ago with only 32k miles on it, I already put on 600 miles and I am enjoying it. It has a nice looking exterior, and a plain and somewhat cramped interior. The car absorbs bumps better than some midsized and large cars I have driven before! I love the acceleration in the city and suburbs, gets a little scary on the highway though when getting up to speed, even with flooring it. The car has a very solid feel to it, and handles well, even without ABS. However, I was surprised to see that I only get mileage figures similar to what was advertised when on the highway, otherwise nowhere near which is frustrating. Minus a couple cons, however, its great.

Love my Corolla S - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Dobart - April 10 - 12:10 pmI looked for the vehicle for over 6 months and ended up at a dealership in used cars. First thing I noticed when I had them put the car up on the lift for inspection was a few drips of oil under the oil pan. The sales person assured me it was from the recent oil change. I kept an eye on it for a few weeks and it continued. Took the car to a nearby Toyota dealership and they found a leaking spot weld in the oil pan. Manufacturer warranty covered the replacement and I was good to go! The car is a great and gets 28-32 city and some highway driving in a big city. Very good handling and reliability is acceptable. Have only had to change oil and rotate tires.

My Toyota - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Bob - April 10 - 11:33 amI like this car for its looks and gas mileage. Seems to be enough room for my 6ft. 2in frame at 230 lbs. Power seems to be ok. It does get up and move pretty well. My last vehicle (Chevy s- 10 Zr2) the gas gauge moved as fast as the tach. 13 miles to the gallon didnt get it. Besides having some bad experiences with the dealership that I purchased the Chevy from. Its a shame when You have been a customer for 13 yrs and the dealership treats you in a bad way. All in all its quite the car. The price isnt bad. Im tired of these more expensive rides that get no gas mileage. Its a shame that these gas eaters are still around. Being retired, there is no way Im paying for all that gas.

COROLLA ROCKS - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By Hair_Nation_Fan - April 5 - 8:30 pmThis car is wonderful in all aspects. Handling is tight and engine is very peppy. Great to maneuver in all situations. Not a long distance travel car since it is small in size. 35 MPG on average! Did have on instance of high engine acceleration while stopped at traffic light. That led me to reconsider owning it since the repair shop found "no problem". Since traded it in sad to say. I will miss the Toyota Corolla greatly.
