Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Oil Burner - 2000 Toyota Corolla
By Oil Burner - May 6 - 2:20 amThis car has 220,000 miles on it and consumes tons of oil. Weekly it will "use" 2 qts. of oil. It doesnt leak, it doesnt smoke... so where does it go? I just refill it and go. This car is stout and handles very well except in the snow. 220,000 miles and it is still strong. I just have to buy stock in an oil distribution company. Nothing beats Toyota!

I Love My Corolla - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Mrs. Coldone - May 2 - 10:00 amWe bought a 2003 after two years with an 01. What a difference. I really liked my 5spd 01, but the 03 is roomier, and the seats are so much higher! A plus when you are over 30!!! I have driven an array of cars and the Corolla line is my favorite. They are dependable, fun to drive, look good, and just an overall great car. Price is a little higher, but they look good longer. I definetely recommend the Corollas.

Corolla 03 - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Billy - May 2 - 10:00 amBought the car 6 weeks ago, better than I thought it would be. I got a great deal at $15,100 with options. I also own a 01 Honda civic. I give the Corolla the edge in ride and comfort.

Good Bang for The Buck - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By AMR - April 29 - 1:43 amNeeding to save $ on gas, this car does it. Excellent wood grain interior, all controls easy to access so you dont take your eyes off the road. I cant wait to see how long I can make this car last.

Should have gotten a Camry! - 2011 Toyota Corolla
By milans - April 28 - 8:31 pmIve driven my 2011 Corolla for 18k/mi and wish I would have been less concerned about MPG than comfort. The car feels a bit underpowered. It also needed a front tire replacement almost immediately because it was defective (two dealer visits). MPG is good but Im not sure that the gas savings are worth the back pain. Im glad I didnt get rid of my 2004 Sienna because I absolutely cannot drive the Corolla all the time. Should have gotten a Camry instead which has more comfortable seats and fits a taller person better (Im over 6).

Great car! - 1998 Toyota Corolla
By genethegeek - April 28 - 10:00 amWe purchased this car new in 98 and besides regular maint. and a $1 muffler repair (no joking, a bolt came loose) this car has been problem free. Not bad for over a car with more than 100K miles. The ride is comfortable and handling in the winter is much better than I expected. I also like the fact there are *no* rattles or squeeks. I dont think you can do better for a inexpensive small car.

Top rating for 2005 Corolla - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Lorken220 - April 28 - 10:00 amI really like everything about the new Corollas. I had a 2000 CE and traded it in for the 2005 CE. Performance continues to be great and will expect another 200,000 miles on this vehicle. I like the newer body style, color selections and comfort. Many more things standard than they had in 2000 and affordable.

Uncomparable Reliabilty beyond extremes - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By denzPT - April 28 - 6:10 amThis car stability was awesome, in extremes weather of -40 degree F during winter, it will cruise to a 12-14 inches of snow (without winter tires). Question of mileage? 29-30 mpg city & 36-37mpg highway... what can you ask for? Side curtain air-bag, TMPs, day-light running time, spacious leg room, wide trunk space, 6 CD changer, good AC/defroster, power locks/window, variable windshield wiper control & the fuel consuming cruise control, excellent brake against crossing moose & deers, and good suspension. Corolla rocks beyond expectations!!!
