Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Love my Corolla - 1999 Toyota Corolla

I purchased my Corolla two and a half years ago with 67,000 miles on it. It is my first car. Up to this point I could not be happier with my purchase. On the road the Corolla is very easy to drive and feels stable at all speeds. The ride for the most part is comfortable except when driving over large bumps or uneven road surfaces. The gas mileage is terrific. I routinely average 29mpg in city driving with the automatic transmission. The interior of the Corolla is nice too. The materials are high quality and the controls are very simple, I would even say too simple. The cabin is usually quite except for an annoying rattleling noise that comes from within the center console.

  • Good car with looks and features, noisy cabin - 2015 Toyota Corolla

Bought a 2015 Corolla LE Plus. Love the looks vs the Camrys or the Corolla S Plus. The S plus has a bigger grille and darker rims which I did not like vs the smaller grille and shinier rims on the LE Plus model. I liked the steering on low speed with this car, but the thing I really disliked was hi-way driving. It is too sensitive in the steering at that speed, so it is kinda like a struggle to keep the car straight and it doesnt help that the car is more prone to wind blowing, so that makes the struggle even harder (especially near trucks). Acceleration is adequate. The ride is actually a little firm (good thing I didnt get the S Plus!) But the road noise can get harsh in freeway driving. I love listening to music and I upgraded my sound system by adding a subwoofer to the factory unit. Sounds much better, but I still have to crank up the volume because the road noise is too loud. Sometimes, it makes me have a slight regret that I didnt get the camry instead. This is what I like about the Corolla though... Good price, good looks, good gas mileage (35 avg), reliable so far, Michelin tires, led headlights, lots of interior space, and I really liked the color combo of the White exterior + Ivory/black interior. Disliked road noise, sensitive steering (harder to keep car going straight), average acceleration (engine noise too). Overall, its a great car if you dont mind my dislikes. For me, its a good buy mainly due to pricing because I couldnt afford the camry since it would be stretching my money too much (kinda poor but wanted new reliable car). Always have a slight regret due to knowing that the Camry is quieter and its acceleration is smoother. At $3000 more, it was hard to swallow the difference, thats how I ended up with the Corolla.

  • I got a brand new LEMON! - 2006 Toyota Corolla

After reading so many other reviews, Im convinced I got a Corolla reject! Door hinges started to come apart after a few months. I paid $700 extra for that paint protection, undercoating crap (I know, I know, my own fault). The paint scratches off when my nails hit it lightly on the trunk. I have lots of paint chips where rust is coming through! Not in places where stones could even hit it! Now, my alloy wheels are rusting from the inside and look all bubbly. There is an annoying *ping* when pulling out of a parking space that makes everyone in the parking lot turn and look. Im so disappointed in the quality of this car. Im dumping it now that Im out of warranty!

I love toyota they are the only cars I will buy. My last one had 250,000 miles and it was still going when i traded it in. The only thing I dont is the velour interior it attracts alot of lint.

No problems; battery needs replacement at this time. Small dent, hardly viewable, on right front fender. Car has been utterly reliable, easily driven, easy to care for.

  • I love the new Corolla! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I never liked Corollas until I saw the new 2003 models. I love my sporty S model and often think it resembles a Lexus when I see it in a parking lot! Oh... and it practically has the same engine as a Celica GT...but at a much lower price.

  • Meh.... - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Currently leased 2013 Corolla LE. My wife had 2 previous leases 06 and 09. Both were better Corollas. I appreciate some of the new improvement s like USB port, but the older models were more comfortable and felt more nimble. That being said the lease was definitely cheaper than what I would have gotten for say a Focus, Cruze, or Sentra. If youre looking for a Corolla I would say look for 07 to 10 model used and dont worry about Bluetooth and USB ports. You can get by without. I think the model has regressed. Really dull ride. Unfortunately, I disregarded my kids 4,7 in the decision. No room in the back seat for them!
