Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Had a Civic - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By RAY - June 27 - 4:06 pmI traded my 02 Honda Civic EX in for the 05 Corolla LE. Hands down, better car all around. Its more peppie, more zip, better interior and after almost 8 months, no problems. My Civic within the 1 st 3 yrs, compressor, struts, fan had to be replaced. This is much better car. The JBL sound system is much better versus the upgraded Honda one.

Affordable and fun - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Denise - June 26 - 7:10 pmThe Corolla LE Sedan is affordable and fun to drive. I love just about everything it offers, with the exception of a couple minor issues. I have not had a smaller car in many years, and im very happy with this one. It gives a smooth ride and i feel safe in it. It comes with alot of perks, and for a car under $20,000. The newer design is also a plus. Id definately recommend it.

Tha Rolla Rules (if you are poor) - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By Jeremy Manginell - June 25 - 10:00 amIts really nothing special, but for overall value and reliability, there is not a better car. Its not too fun to drive, its small, its slow, but it will last forever and the mpg is excellent. If you have a small family or are a young professional, it is a great car to get started with.

GREAT CAR - 2001 Toyota Corolla
By kamal - June 25 - 10:00 amToyota has lived up to my expectation. I did two month long research and compared with nissan, honda, and other manufacturers. I settled with toyota because I have been driving toyota since 1998. Tried GM and Ford buty had to take severe financial hardship due to repair costs. Only problem I had with this corolla is that the driver sit cannot be adjusted higher or lower. other than that this is a great car.

First Toyota...wont be last. - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By RSS - June 25 - 10:00 amOverall, THE nicest car I have ever owned. It looks and feels like a Lexus and drives as well as my fathers 2000 Avalon. I would even go so far as to say that it is as quiet, refined and as outstanding to drive as a Cadillac! Its still in Toyotas bizarre "do not exceed 55 mph for the first 1000 miles" break-in period, so I cant really say much about its performance beyond the fact that it certainly seems willing enough...but my 5-speed Ford ZX2 will suck the headlights out of it. On the other hand, this Toyota will certainly hold its value better! Its a surprisingly large car to boot, and one doesnt feel the least bit penalized for not buying a Camry.

2016 toyota corolla s special edition - 2016 Toyota Corolla
By Adam - June 23 - 5:36 amI have owned the S Special Edition for about a month now and have put just over 5000 miles on it. My only complaint so far is that it is a bit under powered, especially going up the hills in Pittsburgh, but Ill sacrifice that everyday of the week for the gas mileage. No complaints other than that so far. I think next time Ill go for the Avalon Hybrid to get my power and great gas milage. My car is the S Special Edition with Absolute Red paint, red stitched interior trim and mats, the Smart Key System, Entuneâ„¢ Audio Plus, moonroof, pure black chrome 17 inch rims with low profile tires.

Cant get better than this! - 2000 Toyota Corolla
By gbusta - June 21 - 1:40 pmI have had my car for approx. 2 years and have not once had to put it in the shop for major service. If you take care of this car (i.e. oil changes, tires) it will last you a long time. When I walked into the dealer I never expected to walk out with a Corolla however, it was the best decision. For the money I paid, Im going to run this thing into the ground. Super car. Comfortable (have driven to Canada and New York with no complaints from my passengers). And you cant beat the resale value.

This Car Makes My Wallet Happy! - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By Ralph - June 20 - 5:26 amI just bought this car last week, and it gives 36-40 mpg on the highway! This sure beats my ford ranger I traded it for (thanks cash for clunkers!) This car is really smooth on the road, and comes with the CD/MP3 player, and even has an auxiliary jack for the ipod. I bought the 2010 base Corolla, and it still came with built in blue tooth. Cold AC, and double glove compartment. Not to mention the Room! The back seat folds down to allow more cargo space. Go for the LE model if u want cruise control. Just make sure to negotiate the sticker price, and if you want to, knock out the extended warranty they offer! Corollas are so reliable, it wont break down within that warranty period if you take care of it.

Great Car! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Jana - June 19 - 9:13 amThis little Impulse Red sporty sedan is awesome! It was pricey for sure, and they were tough on lowering the price even a little, regardless of the ding on the rear bumper. But it worth the comfort, safety is top noche, and the warranty is unbeleivable! The stereo has good sound and the stear ratio is nice on U-turns. I feel like I am in a $40,000 sports car when really it is a sporty sedan 4-door. Also, for 130 Horsepower it has incredible take off and acceleration, perfect brakes - I bought this used with too many miles but I fell in love. I never even thought I would own a Toyota, so give it a chance and check it out.

Nightmare experience - 2017 Toyota Corolla
By obxchick87@gmail.com - June 17 - 1:35 amI purchased a Corolla because of its reliability and good reputation, and I absolutely loved everything about this car at first. Unfortunately, my little dream car turned into a nightmare a mere 3 weeks after purchase. While stopped at a red light, an error message popped up on the dash saying "Charging System Malfunction" and I thought it was just an issue with my GPS, which was plugged into the outlet. I unplugged it and then another message popped up, this time saying "Oil pressure low" followed by messages saying to consult my owners manual and to take the car in for service. I was at an intersection and tried to turn onto the side road, only to find I had no accelerator power. I was slamming on the gas trying to move, and I was only able to do so because I was going downhill. Two good samaritans helped push me to safety, but to my horror I had NO brakes while the car was in neutral. I had to shift the car into park and lurch to a stop. One of the guys who helped suggested turning off and restarting the car, and sure enough the error messages went away. Still, I had it towed to the dealership, after dealing with Toyota Care and waiting 2 hours for the tow truck to get there. To condense this novel, the car threw no error codes when service checked it, and theyre maintaining that nothing is wrong with the car. Ive had to open a case with Toyota and I honestly cant believe what a horrible experience the whole thing has been. More effort has been put into attacking my credibility and denying what happened than it has in actually fixing whats obviously a major issue. For a brand new car to malfunction and impede my ability to control it is unacceptable, and I will not be driving it again. I really hope I was just sold a lemon and that no other owners experience these issues, but I will NEVER buy a Toyota again. They do not stand behind their products, and I highly recommend taking your business to a manufacturer that does.
