Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Have some concerns! - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Jessica - July 6 - 12:16 pmI purchased my Corolla in May 2009, drove 6000 miles with no trouble. I drive short distances & overall was happy with this car. BUT last week the engine started to turn off in the middle of driving. It happened twice when I was going about 25 mph. I brought it to the dealer, they say nothing is wrong. It happened again at a red light, just turned off. I bought a new car to avoid repairs & wasted time, now I will be back at the dealership, no doubt to hear "nothing is wrong". I am very disappointed after all the hype Toyota & the Corolla get about being reliable. I would not recommend the 2009 model.

Start with the Backseat - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By leebabysimms - July 5 - 5:50 pmAt 41.4 inches, the Toyota Corolla has more backseat legroom than almost any vehicle on the road — not compared to just compact cars, but even large luxury cars, mini-vans, and SUVs. Sit in the backseat of the Corolla, then sit in the backseat of any other car in its price range. If youre a tall person — or ever intent to transport tall people — other backseats feel like a penalty box. We first discovered the 11th generation Corolla sitting in the backseat, as we were passengers in an Uber taxi. In a moment, an auto mark I ignore (Corolla) climbed to the top of my list. The handsome looks, historic reliability, insane value, and 38+ MPG on the highway are all bonus. So happy.

This vehicle does what it is supposed to do - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By Robert Tankersley - July 4 - 9:22 amThe Corolla does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is economical and yet does not look or feel or behave as a "cheap" car.

Love this car! - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Joy - July 3 - 9:53 pmMy first Toyota and Im very glad to bought it! Its a blast to drive. My job requires about 5-6 short trips per day, so mostly city driving with some highway miles daily. I am consistently getting 37-38 mpg and just loving that! I cant wait to go on a real trip with the highway miles and see what I get. I am thrilled with how quiet it runs. You can stand right next to it and wouldnt be able to hear it running. Best car Ive ever owned.

Great Car - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By Great Car - July 3 - 2:00 pmI owned this car for 15 months then it was totaled in a head-on collision. I had it for approximately 15,000 miles. The car, specifically the seat belt, air bad and design, saved my life. The entire front end crumpled and both the appraiser and tow truck driver said it was the worst they had seen in months. I walked away from the crash with a few bruises. I highly recommend this car just for its safety. Great gas mileage.

Best car for my money - 2000 Toyota Corolla
By Corolla00 - July 3 - 10:00 amHad a 2000 Toyota Corolla 5 speed. I dont drive it any more as I got onto a 3-series BIMR. I like the 5 speed transmission. Can do burnouts easily though the front wheel dr. is little annoying. Not fancy, but reliable. I wouldnt had gone for a Corolla if it was not a 5-speed. Poor handling. Be careful when you drive it in corners. Not really safe.

I love my Corolla S, kinda high though - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Andreia - July 3 - 10:00 amIm really happy with my gray Corolla S, for the price, its a really good car and looks good too... I justthink that its a little too high. For a car with a sport package (side spoilers or skirts) id expect it to be a little lower lookig so itd look more sporty.

Corrola Review - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Dave - July 1 - 6:40 amGood gas mileage, but limited leg room for a 6 ft 1" person. I travel 120 miles round trip daily. I would have liked to have a height adjustable passenger seat option. Trip computer access is difficult. Moderate road noise. Overall good commuter car for the money. So far, mechanics good with 20,000 miles.

Great do it all car - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Hayden - June 30 - 5:56 amWe bought this car for my wife to run around town and back and forth to work. We traded in a 2000 Nissan Xterra and my wife is very happy with it so am I! We average 30 mpg city and 40-42 Hwy (safe range is about 400 miles on the Hwy) The 1.8 auto has plenty of get up and go and the transmission is fantastic. Ride and handling is good, electric steering requires correct driving form on the hwy (both hands on the wheel) around town its great for parking. We recently took it on a 1200 mile road trip loaded up with 2 adults and young child very comfortable although the door armrests are annoyingly low. We have always owned Toyota or Nissan, our old 93 Tercel had over 200,000 miles when sold.
