Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Disappointed - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

After I bought it, I already visited the dealer 4 times to repair. Interior is really a nightmare. A consol, side airbag molding, dashboard part, ceiling molding, and etc are shaky and coming out. Heat shield at bottom of a car makes noises, and tire pressure monitor warning light is not working at all. I think toyota never inspects their car before selling it. I am really disappointed.

  • Outstanding - 2005 Toyota Corolla

The car is comfortable and maintains my expectations as to the gas mileage. I bought the Sport SS and it has nice pep when you need it. Although I swore I would never buy a 4 cylinder again, this car has made me eat my words due to its reliable performance and fun driving experience. Shortly after I bought the car I was rear-ended in Chicago traffic. The hit was at 40 mph and to look at the car you would not know it had been hit other than the sport trim having been sheered off at the bottom of the trunk lid. The trunk lid was not affected in the hit and the car withstood the hit without causing sway or loss of control. I was amazed!

  • American Built Beauty - 2010 Toyota Corolla

The 2010 Corolla XLE is a solid American-built car. The improvements over the previous generation are monumental; It is like driving an entry level Lexus for $20K, but with good fuel economy. Hugs the road. Not a single rattle, squeak, or clank to be heard. Roof is a bit too low for tall people. Sunroof, auto-climate control, and navigation are nice touches.

  • Not as good as youd like to think - 2009 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Im 48, and have driven many cars in my life. But after 5500 miles, I can say none that were this uncomfortable. And I like Toyotas! The tilt wheel wont go low enough, the arm rest is too far back (right), or just worthless (left), the steering wheel isnt open on the bottom so you cant hang your hand there. The car gets blown all over the road in crosswinds, and that with electric no feel steering makes you look like a drunk driver on a windy day. Get 34 mpg at steady 75 mph, 29 around town in mixed driving. Good seats, good stereo, excellent cruise. The car rolls a lot in turns, but rides very nicely. Great for short trips, wouldnt recommend for long trips.

This is the 3rd Toyota Corolla that i have owned and probably wont be the last. This is a durable and dependable vehicle. Excellent gas mileage and looks great for the price!! Aluminum wheel package makes for a sportier look.

  • Best BANG for the buck! - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I traded in my 2001 Nissan Xterra for a 2010 Toyota Corolla for $13.2 with 39k miles two weeks ago. I wasnt too excited about it at first as I love trucks, but going from filling up every four days to once a week, I cant beat that! I am averaging about 32 mpg with 90% freeway driving. The digital dash options to view avg mpg, temp, time, and current mpg is nice. A/C blows excellent which is a must in this Arizona heat. Radio sound is nice. Motor runs strong for this little four banger. Interior looks and feels cheap, but I can sacrifice that for a more dependable engine any day of the week! We will be taking it for our first road trip this Memorial Day, should be fun and nice drive.

  • Great Car - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I have not had any problems with the steering as others claim. I have 6000 miles on mine and it has been trouble free. I owned a 2003 S with manual shift and really liked it, so I bought the 2010. The seat fabrics are a vast improvement over the 2003. These are much easier to vacuum.

  • nice little car - 2003 Toyota Corolla

had this car about a 1.5yr. low milage for time. great gas milage !! no problems. nice solid feel. quiet. nice detailed interior and design. sharp looking exterior with nice ground effects. really not that quick. expected that with auto and small 1.8. developing a small rattle sound from back right rear door area at times. yeah and i still cannot get comfortable in drivers seat. this was noted in a major consumers mag. other than this and the rattle, excellent car.

  • Mr. Toyota Man - 2011 Toyota Corolla

Bought this car brand new. Now after 40,000 miles it still looks new and drives great. So far only regular maintenance. Love the xm radio and bluetooth. The original goodyear tires were crap and replaced them with a set of Toyo tires at 13,000 miles. This car looks sporty with the S package and in Barcelona red. Its not a sporty driver though, but does great on gas. I average 32 mpg in mixed driving.32
