This Year's Model Updates:

For 2007, Toyota has discontinued the sporty Corolla XRS trim level. For the LE trim, leather seating is no longer available.

Pros:
  • Roomy interior, fuel-efficient engine, illustrious reliability record.
Cons:
  • Awkward driver-seat position, bland on-road personality, lack of model variation and upscale convenience features, gets pricey even when equipped with just the basics.

  • Too much maintenance - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I used to like Toyotas, but since owning this Corolla, Im not so happy with them anymore. I bought this car brand new and had to replace the timing belt, brakes, batter and tires all BEFORE 30,000 miles. And now its been recalled because the engine might shut- off on its own at any speed and not come back on. I dont think so Toyota. Stop building junk. Ill never buy a Toyota again.

  • Toyota Corolla S Excellent Car - 2007 Toyota Corolla

The guy who wrote that this car is almost blown away in a windy freeway is absolutely right. But this could happen to any small car. The only thing I dont like from this car is the extra plastic bumpers on the bottom of car. Excellent overall quality, great gas mileage, well designed interior actually was the main reason I choose this s model the black interior reminds me the Audi a-4 1.8l. The paint on these cars is really bad quality, I dont know why Toyota is not taking care of this issue, and add for $499 extra dollars the coat protector here in Miami this is a most to protect cars paint considering here temperatures reaches an average of 92 degrees.

  • Scary feeling with high winds gust - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I bought this " 2007 Certified S Corrola" with 45,315 miles in January 2009. No Car Fax Report. Whenever I travel on the highway with wind gusts around 20 to 25 mph, this car shakes alot. It feel like you drifting off the highway. This has happen to myself, my parents and my sister whenever we drive this vehicle by ourselves. My parents suggest I add 100 pounds of sand in back of my trunk. My parents also notice they are no "Safety Indicating Brakes Lights or Other Equipment" on this vehicle. Average highway mileage is 27 mpg. Suppose weight of this vehicle is 3500 lbs, my father old 2001 Toyota Corrola LE weight 2600 lbs.

  • Not bad for a 2007 - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I bought the car about a month ago. It seems like I might be having a problem with it. It seems to hesitate alittle when starting out. Doesnt all the time though. I like that it has a lot of room inside. A lot of trunk room too. Not too good of handling on the highway speeds. I would say about 70 mph.

  • My wifes Corolla - 2007 Toyota Corolla

This is a lot more car than I expected. Great fuel economy, reasonable price, solid Toyota quality and dependability.

  • Not what I expected - 2007 Toyota Corolla

At 6500 miles, weve had a rear trim weather strip/seal fall off. Gas mpg not what sticker called for (31 city/38 hwy) although not bad, were getting about 34 on the hwy and 27 in the city. Transmission shifts good, although it switches between gears a lot on the hwy, usually downshifting going up hills and mountains. This is probably due to a low torque/horsepower engine.

  • Great Car - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I bought my Toyota 2 years ago brand new from the dealership with 0 miles and I love it! This car is so cute and roomy on the inside! It drives great the AC is freezing cold and I really like the interior design. I got a special package of the CE that included cruise control, power windows and locks and something else but I forgot what it is... lol... I love my car, I just wish it didnt have those black things on the side of the door.. I have a cute White one and the black things annoy me, Im trying to find out if I can get them replaced for white ones to match my exterior paint, but have been unsuccessful.. I love this car though! Awesome car!

Nice cheap little car. Lacks performance with a 126 HP engine, especially with 3 passengers on board and the AC cranking, the thing will barely accelerate under all that stress. At higher speeds, at about above 75 mph, it becomes a little unstable to drive on the highway, it feels like you could lose control of it because of the wind and drag. I think the car might be too light. I also dont get the advertised mileage. But on the upside, it still runs. I guess that is all that is asked for by any Corolla owners and nothing more.

  • Toyota Quality not what its claimed - 2007 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Got a 2007 Corolla and the paint and bodywork are not good. Poor design of Rear bumper and generally poor quality paint job. Been back to dealer once for paint work and still not good. Otherwise seems to run okay, good MPG but a bit too much engine noise.

  • I love my Corolla - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Great car. Excellent gas mileage...about 36 - 37 MPG for highway and city combined. Love the body style. Very reliable, no problems at all except for the usual things that have to be replaced over time. Front brakes pads and windshield wipers are almost ready to be replaced and Ive put over 85,000 miles on it already. (I have a long drive to work every day.) Would gladly buy another one. Only problem Ive had is the overhead light, its a little touchy. You have to put the switch in just the right spot before it will turn on.
