Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Toyotas baby Camry - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By whcc90069 - September 30 - 8:00 pmWe bought the latest corolla generation back in October 2008. The new corolla is much, much roomier than before. Theres plenty of power and yet this car still averaged about 27 mpg in the city and about 38 mpg on the freeway. Kinks usually need to be worked on with the first year of most new car designs. Our car certainly had a few problems... The radios volume control would get stuck sometimes. The radio display works most of the time. The interior trunk release mechanism worked even less of the time. Fortunately, these three items are covered under warranty for the new owner. We sold this car not long ago in order to get the new prius for even better mileage.

A wonderful, fun to drive sedan - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By BerniePA22 - September 29 - 1:36 amOwning my corolla just a few weeks - Im so glad I didnt go out of the Toyota lineup of cars and miss owning this gem of a vehicle. You cant beat the refined nature of this car with any other make and model in the same price range. It gets up and goes without a hitch, merges into traffic effortlessly, and its easy on the wallet when it comes to gas! Toyota has hit a home run with the new redesign (in my humble opinion!)

Good Value Option - 2015 Toyota Corolla
By jvg27 - September 27 - 8:27 pmThe good: The Corolla LE provides a great value. There are a ton of high-end features that make it comfortable and economical. The car rides smoothly and I have averaged 33 MPG in mostly city driving. Overall, a great ride so far. The "other": I find there are quite a few major blind spots. In addition, the steering wheel does not travel far enough forward. The armrest is either too small, or too low, or just a poor design because I cant get comfortable on it. Lastly, and most concerning, I find that the car wonders. My previous Jetta tracked straight as an arrow. This car will just wonder off without warning. I really dont care for that aspect of the driving character.

One satisfied customer - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Ninotchka - September 25 - 8:33 pmOnly scheduled maintenance so far ... one previous owner (1997-2004) kept great records, though. The build quality is its best attribute; before I bought the car, I asked my mechanic what he would want to work on -- what had parts that are easy to get to, etc. He mentioned four or five vehicles, and I continued my research. This was a GREAT buy.

Ughhhh - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By akristakat1982 - September 24 - 10:00 amI bought my Corolla brand new and have had issues since the first month I had it. My tire pressure light goes off every time theres a slight change in temperature, even though the PSI is what its supposed to be. I was told by the service dept. that it was a faulty sensor, and they didnt know if it would be covered by warranty. Then there has been the recalls, which happens with any manufacturer. However, today I brought my car in for my 30k mi. service and they discovered my water pump was leaking (covered by warranty) and my drivetrain belt needed to be replaced. I bought a new car, and specifically a Toyota, to avoid having constant issues while I was paying on it.
