Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Overall, good vehicle - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Bought the car used in Aug. 06 with only 3,300 miles on it from a private owner. Complaints are only minor: sun visor on drivers hits the rear-view mirror every time you pull it down and put it back up, its annoying to have to readjust the mirror every time the sun is in your eyes. Other major complaint is driving position, Im 6 tall and have to have the seat pushed all the way back for leg room, when I do that, the steering wheel is too far, since it does not telescope out( corrected on 09 and newer Corollas).

Great reliable fun car to drive; excellent fuel economy. Nice look on the road, but nothing special, though the S and XLS models are more sporty than my CE. But, then I dont really go for all that sporty buff that just adds weight. I prefer a nice sporty design without the buff, like the Lexus sports car. Not the most comfortable car to drive; there just seems like there is no way to adjust the seat and tilt steering for a comfortable driving position; reaching the outdated-looking sound system controls are a stretch when reclining back in the drivers seat. The steering wheel doesnt have many tilt positions. Also, the dash and center console lighting are oddly different colors.

Visibility from rear side view is obstructed by adjacent front seat and head rest. Toyota should put heavier coat of paint on car, lightly bumped side of garage with open door and paint chipped off in small spot at door handle.

I have had my car for 5 years now and just bought it at lease-end. I love it. It now has almost 75k miles on it and I have never had to fix anything. I considered buying another car at the end of the lease but I was afraid that not another car would live up to it, so I bought it out instead. This car may not look that exciting but the pick up is exceptional.

  • GREAT CAR.... - 2005 Toyota Corolla

this was my first brand new car since I started driving. Its great to drive and very dependable. The interior is very nice and simple. I bought the extra value package because it looks nice with a spoiler. No problems with it so far and being as though its a Toyota. im not expecting any problems any time soon.

  • Great little (big) car! - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I bought the 07 CE model early this year. I commute 60 miles a day and needed something with good gas mileage. I love the plain Jane exterior, it just seems to blend in seamlessly. The interior looks nice with the two tone gray, and the cloth seats look better than average. The stereo sounds great, and the controls are super user friendly. The air is cold and the heat is hot, which is always a plus.

  • Nice Solid Car - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Seats are comfortable although driving position could be made more comfortable for different body types by having a telescoping steering wheel and a few more notches in seat rail. Most of my driving is on the highway and Ive been averaging between 34 and 35 miles per gallon so far. This is more than most competitors offer with a stick. No problems so far with the Goodyear Integrity tires or crosswinds that others have complained about, although winter is coming. The car feels solid on the and is actually more comfortable to drive than the 2002 Sable that I traded in for it. Very happy so far, I plan on owning this one for quite awhile.

  • Good Small Car - 1994 Toyota Corolla

I have owned my Corolla for about two years now. It has over 186,000 miles on it and it has been reliable. Saved me tons of money on gas because with about 10 dollars could put me on about 3/4 a tank. Overall a good reliable car but there are a few problems I have. First I am 63" and it is extremely difficult to get behind the wheel. Second the car can be a little sluggish when getting on the highway. Other than that the car has been great. I just hope my next one is as reliable as this one.
