Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Saving the Planet - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Bryan - December 20 - 5:13 pmBought the car used earlier this year. No problems with it at all so far. Drives so nice and quiet on the expressway, even more quiet than luxury cars that I have driven. I am 62 and the car has more than enough head room for me. It feels great to drive a car that gets 40mpg on the highway when there is so much drama about gas prices.

You dont buy this car for fun/looks... - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By patsrule5412 - December 20 - 4:20 pmI have had this car for about 2 years now, and overall I think Toyota makes decent cars, but this car is kind of overhyped a bit. It gets great gas mileage and I love it for that, but the seating position is a bit awkward (you get used to it) and it feels like an economy car, nothing more. The looks...well, calling this car even remotely "sporty" does not work. The ride on the highway isnt too bad, but to me its a little too loud, at least louder than I expected, and I can feel some vibration which can get on your nerves. Overall its a decent car, and I dont mean to sound so negative about its looks, but hey, you buy it for reliability and mileage, Im just not flat on the floor impressed.

love it - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By michelle - December 20 - 4:00 pmI really love this car! I was afraid that it would be to small for my family so I decided to take my whole family of 5 to the dealership so we could all test drive it. We all fit comfortably. The trunk space was much bigger than i thought it was going to be. I researched many cars before making my choice and I am very happy with my choice.

98 Toyota Corolla LE Sedan - 1998 Toyota Corolla
By Jack - December 20 - 9:23 amHas been a very good running and driving car. Maintenance has been nil. A little more power in engine would help it in climbing mountains. However, very seldom driven in mountains.

2009 Corolla S - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By applecandy - December 19 - 10:53 pmGreat car for the money, not a sports car but gets some of the best gas mileage in the industry while looking like you are going 200 MPH. 28-35 MPG with the new real 2008 EPA rating system and seats 4 adults. I have owned many BMW 318s and I would take this car any day over them. I wanted a reliable, safe, good on gas car to drive to work, that also looks sporty. I found that and much more. The car comes standard in any trim level with full font and side air bags front/rear and is 5 star rated front and side impact. It even has motors in the seats for active headrest in case you get rear ended. Includes tire pressure sensors. Great, safe, great on gas and looks like a race car!

A Truly Wonderful Car - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By Jessica - December 17 - 2:00 amI absolutely love this car. I cant believe some of the comments on here saying anything but positive things. I have driven many cars in my life and this car is very impressive to me especially for the price. It handles like a dream, gets great gas mileage and is extremely quiet. I find it very smooth and with enough power even with the auto transmission and roomy enough for 4 adults. Trunk space is good and the seats fold down. I love the steering on this and dont have any issues with that as some others have said. Its a power assisted system which is common on most of todays cars especially luxury cars like Lexus. Great car for highway driving also. All around quality choice.

An Truly Honest In Depth Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla
By ruffrider - December 15 - 10:30 pmAfter driving this car in pretty much every situation possible, I must say Im blown away. As far as driving goes: Of course it may not accelerate like the 2014-onward models and it can get frustrating especially if you like to go fast like me but this car will get you anywhere you need to be. Ive driven everywhere from the mountains to the desert, and its never left me stranded. The ride is superb, very quiet, smooth and comfortable, Driving at 120 feels more like 70. Not saying it has seats like a Rolls Royce but they are very comfortable on long trips. The shiftable automatic on the S trim is the most helpful feature. On mountain passes when going down on sharp curves, you can just keep it in 3rd and you wont have to touch your brakes. When going up, it also serves the same purpose and makes it a lot more safer. And when in bumper to bumper traffic or just wanting to feel like you have a sports car, the availablity of all 4 gears goes a long way. Car did great in the snow with cheap chains. As far as reliability : Ive only done routine maintenance, and 2 sets of brakes in 3 years (but due only to the "fast and the furious" mentality I drive with) Ive used it primarily as a commuter car. My mom owned a 2014 and now a 2017 corolla and I must say Im glad I made the choice to get the 2013. Although it has much more power and accelerates like a mustang it doesnt ride nearly as quiet and comfortably and has a CVT and a timing belt instead of a chain(I dont need to get into that conversation). Also feels a whole lot cheaper in overall craftsmanship and quality. The bottom line: The 2013 Corolla may not accelerate how youd like it to or be the flyest car on the roa but its is hands down the most trouble free and reliable car Ive ever owned. I plan to keep this car forever. Get one if you get the chance

Great Car - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Mac - December 14 - 7:30 am3000+ mile trip. 39.9 MPG with automatic transmission and A/C running in June. Gets 28 to 31 MPG in city. Most economical car I have ever owned. Battery failed at 26000 miles. Out of state dealership paid tow and battery at no charge. Couldnt ask for better service and I cant fault any company about a defective battery.
