Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

its a good car, but during accidents the body is weak and gets damaged by minor hits. This car is fuel efficient and looks very nice for being a sedan. I enjoy driving it and the red color is my fav.

This is my second brand new Toyota, and I love it. Good handling and very roomy for a small car. True to Toyota for being "economical" on gas.

I could not be happier with the new Corolla. I am pleasantly surprised with the XLE trim. Here is my summary: Overall feeling: it feels like a upscale sedan with all the bell and whistles while still getting over 30 MPG. Ride: the ride is very smooth. A lot less noisy than previous models. Steering is very sensitive, perhaps a bit too much. Interior: the car is a lot more spacious than previous models. This trim looks elegant. Other features: very nice Bluetooth system, voice activated dialing, dial by number. Very good sound and XM radio. Lots of storage space. Huge trunk. I feel like I am riding in a mini-Camry.

This car was great at first. As the years and miles add up more and more stuff breaks. I had to replace the transmission this year due to internal failures which will not be reimbursed. All in all, a POOR CHOICE OF CAR. I will never buy a Toyota again.

  • Reliable, efficient but... - 2007 Toyota Corolla

This a great economy car. I consistently get around 30 mpg on 50/50 highway city drive. The reliability has been excellent so far. The ride is where this vehicle is lacking a lot. Maybe the goal was to make the car with stiff suspension to look and handle more sporty. The result is rough ride with clearly pronounced and annoying bumps - "haystack wagon" as somebody else called it. My other car is Huyndai Elantra and believe me the difference in ride quality is huge.

I purchased this car with 6 miles on it. I love this car. Every time Im tempted to purchase a new car, I just cant imagine departing from my Corolla. Made in the USA by GM workers, this car has quality. Besides some initial, and minor, warranty issues, Ive done nothing but change her oil and give her a new set of tires. I can only imagine this being an awesome buy as a used car because it really is quite versatile. Decent trunk, spacious interior, decent design.

Its a nice car. I bought the White S model. Performance is a bit on the weak side for get up and go. Very nice interior and nicely detailed. Electric steering a bit touchy on highway and hard to make the car go straight after without touching the wheel. You can plug in the iPod into the auxiliary jack. So far its turning a few heads as there is a 7 week wait for delivery and not many on the road yet. So far 444 km and 1st fill was 48.00 at 132 a litre so its not too bad on fuel. I like the computer that tells you how many miles you can still travel on your fuel, this is a nice roomy commuter car with some class.
