Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Excellent Build Quality/Great Fuel Econ - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Jogia - April 15 - 10:40 amJust picked it up today. Traded in my previous gen Camry. Needed a better gas mileage car for 100 mile daily commute. I owned a 94 corolla in college and this model is many leaps ahead. Firstly the cabin is almost as quiet as that of a camry, even at high speeds. Build quality is amazing, very solid. Got 30 mpg in my first 150 miles.

Piece of junk - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By jasinlee18 - April 14 - 10:00 amEverything on the interior is made of soft plastic and broke within have it for 4 months. Cd player skips and sticks and holds cds captive. Brakes went to nothing in 3 months clutch went after 15,000 miles. And they swear this car is worth 18,000 dollars (the S).

A Perfect Combination - 2011 Toyota Corolla
By dt100 - April 11 - 12:56 pmWe have a 2010 Corolla LE and couldnt be happier. Traded a 2008 Camry SE and have found the Corolla more than meets our needs in comfort, gas maileage, and overall performance. Not a luxury car and perhaps a little dated, but fun to drive and with two years FREE maintainance.....a bargain to own!

Practical car for the dollar - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By David Barr - April 10 - 10:00 amAfter researching many small cars (Civics, Aveo) I found the Corolla. First Toyota Ive owned. Great on gas mileage. Car is suppose to last as long as a Honda. The only complaint I have is the steering wheel is too far away. I have to keep the seat up close to reach the wheel. And Im only 59". Otherwise a good, practical car. Be cautious of Toyota dealers. They have a way of getting you a loan with a higher interest rate. Ask first what thier best offer is. A good dependable car is good, but if the financing is not, youll loose a lot of money over the long haul of a 5 year loan.

Great Small Car - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By bing22 - April 7 - 2:00 amI recently purchased a 2003 Corolla CE, and so far I love this car. It feels solid, the ride is excellent and gas mileage is superb. The interior ergonomics are second to none. The controls are easy to reach and laid out well. The high seating position gives the driver a good field of vision. The engine is peppy and has enough power for the average driver. The exterior design is not cutting edge but it is modern. The car handles well except in high winds. But if you have driven an SUV the wind issue wont be a big deal. the ride is smooth and quiet. I would recommend the 2003 Corolla to anyone that wants a high quality inexpensive compact car.
