Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Comfort, quality and fuel-effiicent - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By yankel18 - April 21 - 2:00 amI kept reading all those reviews about what a good but dull car this is. Well, if comfort, quality, security and fuel-efficiency is boring, count me in. The fit and finish is tight, the drive is secure and the interior is laid out in an intuitive way. Its peppy enough and I find it pretty exciting not to be giving much money away to the oil companies and terrorist-sponsoring countries. When you add up what you get, its a pretty good value for the money (I got side air bags, automatic, ABS, cruise, upgraded CD player for $15,200.

My Little Toyota - 1996 Toyota Corolla
By Brobolt44 - April 16 - 7:20 pmMy 1996 Toyota Corolla is the best car I have ever owned. Front to back, inside and out, I just love everything about it. Toyota sure knew what they were doing when they made this car. They equipped it with the convenience of keyless remote entry, an alarm system, and anti theft system. The highly efficient 4 cylinder is almost self-maintained, and if necessary, very easily repaired. Theres plenty of room inside for the passengers to ride comfortably, large enough trunk space for regular cargo storage. It handles so well, it seems to just float down the highway. This car has no problems holding its own out on the road. And at 40 miles per gallon, who would ever want to drive anything else?

An okay car. - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Rose Milton - April 16 - 10:59 amI recently bought this car. Ive already had to replace the timing chain and catalytic converter. This car does have great gas mileage, 30 miles per gallon. It has comfy seats and is higher off the ground than other sedans of this era. However the paint is peeling off and the engine is horrible. If you want a commuter car that gets good gas mileage and dont mind having repairs this is the car for you.

First New Car - LOVE IT!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By AnnMarie C - April 16 - 10:00 amI just purchased a 2004 Corolla S and its my first new car and I love it. I have had 2 used 6 cylinder cars in my life and was a little worried that a 4 would be sluggish, but its not. It drives great, is fast and sharp and feels safe and secure. As far as style is really does look like the baby Lexus. I bought the light silver with the sports package and all the works and it really is a great car. Id recommend it to anyone. Plus for the price you a get a ton for your money.

XRS should be a small car contender!! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By 94ludelvr - April 16 - 10:00 amPrice can be too high for some but if you can afford this 4 door rocket, get it! Using the Celicas engine it is rev-happy and is extremely brisk on the street! Going up to the mountains from Denver it easily scooted up those 6% inclines with 3 people in it and A/C on! Not an easy feat for most econo- boxes!!! Comfort is great, noise a smidgen high but not terribly bad! I do, however, have one gripe...the tires...lil too much flex on the sidewall when cornering, other than that the corolla loves to be tossed into corners! Even better ABS, all disc brakes, 6-speed, cruise, etc...and with Toyota reliablility!

Corolla S - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Edison_Ortiz - April 16 - 8:43 amToyota Corolla is a fun car to drive. Purchased the model S for the wife and she loves its design and features. Family and friends are often awed by its looks and wonder how much it cost. Wife feels like she is driving a luxury car with all the standard features this car provides. I would recommend Toyota Corolla S to anyone looking for reliable good looking car.

Great Car - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Ralph - April 16 - 8:00 amAfter having the car for only 2 weeks I was rear ended. Being at a stop and getting hit by a car going 20 MPH. Only $1200 in damage. Have to say it held up real well. It is not as nice to drive as my last vehicle (top of the line Chevy 1500) but good gas mileage and comfortable. Plenty of room for wife and 2 kids. Great trunk size.

A quick review - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By We - April 16 - 1:46 amA nice little car. The angle from the seat to the gas pedal seems a bit awkward and has a tendency to hurt my right knee after driving for more than 30 minutes or so. I may just be used to sitting higher in pickup trucks. The car has plenty of power and rides nicely.

Should have stuck with Civic - 2013 Toyota Corolla
By berkshirebabe - April 15 - 1:50 pmI had a 2008 Civic sedan and was getting itchy for a new car. I looked at the 2013 Civics first and almost bought one, but had trouble with the dealership. So Toyota had 0% financing and I went to look at Corollas. I loved the new red SE--cute and more stylish than the 2013 Civic. I test drove it and it was smaller than the Civic and rode OK, but the controls seemed a little "cheap" and there was not much in-dash storage for things like CDs. I ended up buying the car because I made a great deal on it. Well, 2 weeks later--I miss my Civic like CRAZY! I really feel like I took step down in quality and space. The car is super-tiny inside (and I am only 5 feet tall).
