Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Keep on making them rollas - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Brandon Wilson - May 31 - 2:36 pmMy 1997 Corolla has been the only car that I ever owned and no doubt that I will probably let this baby go anytime soon. I had this car for 6 years and its got over 215,000 miles on the original motor and automatic transmission. I purchased this car on 6/2003 with 52,352 miles at a dealership. The only major service work done on my corolla was a valve cover gasket, timing belt, and a water pump. Other than that, this car has never left me stranded on the road.

Uncomfortable seats - 2015 Toyota Corolla
By Kim - May 31 - 6:09 amI traded in my 2003 Subaru Outback for a 2015 Toyota Corolla. I initially wanted another Subaru, but had to watch my budget. This is a cute little car - sleek and sporty looking. I test drove it once during the day for a short ride. I couldnt pass up the value so I bought it that day. After driving it for two weeks and adjusting the seat and steering wheel in every way possible, I couldnt prevent my back from hurting. When I called the dealer to complain, they said the seats are made more rigid now for safety to prevent whiplash. Then he offered to install lumbar support for about $400!!! That should be standard, especially if they know the seats are uncomfortable. I bought a lumbar pillow but its bulky and uncomfortable. Also, the floor is raised where your left foot goes so it feels cramped. I also agree with others about the line of sight for the headlights. High beams work good but you cant drive around with those on.

Like it...but too noisy - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Shannon - May 28 - 11:03 pmBought the car new. Took until about 18000 miles before it started getting good gas mileage 36-39 mpg mainly highway, so do not get discouraged, it does improve! Am very disappointed in the road noise and uncomfortable seats. The windows do not seal real well. If there is a good cross wind, the side mirrors produce a high- pitched whining noise. Would not recommend this car for highway commuters who spend more than 30 minutes on the interstate one-way. It is very good in the city and the road noise is not really a problem when driving at slower speeds. It is very peppy and fun to drive. Have had absolutely no problems with it.

Little Buddy - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Greg in Dayton - May 28 - 10:00 amNice, dependable car. Extremely fine fuel efficiency (about 35 MPG highway for me, 31 MPH in city). Feels solid. Spunky performance.

ELEGANT LOOKING W/O POWER - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By cpoled - May 28 - 10:00 amDont get me wrong,I love my Corolla.I had owned a 99 Corolla. When I based my first opinion of my current car, it was against that car. Ive had the car for nearly two years. The gas mileage is excellent. The car is smooth in high speeds. On tight turns, the feel is uneasy, like its leaning away from the turn.I would have liked a little brighter headlights at night. On a lightless country road, the changing from regular headlights to high beams is annnoying.(especially with oncoming traffic) A more powerful engine would have been better.

Good car so far - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By john - May 27 - 9:00 pmBought this car new in 2006. Currently have about 27,000 miles on it. No problems at all. Fuel economy is great. took it on a long trip (4500 miles in 21 days) from PA to Rocky mountain national park and up to Yellowstone and back again. Car preformed very well on the hills and 70 mph on the interstates with AC on. So far, not one glitch. Shooting for 150000 on this baby!!

I like it, but... - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By G - May 25 - 10:06 amOverall I like my Corolla. I chose a Corolla base on its reputation and Intellichoice.com recommendation. Along with the Civic, it has the lowest Total Cost of Ownership. The reason I picked the Corolla it was simply because Toyota gave me more for the money, alloy wheels, power locks and windows, etc. I am intending to keep this car for a few years so I bought extended warranty and paint and rust protection. Toyota could have worked on the interior a bit. The stereo seems cheap quality.
