Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Love this car - 2001 Toyota Corolla

I have had it only a short time but the 5 speed manual really makes it come alive. This car is rated to tow 1500 lbs and a Honda is rated 0. Get better gas mileage than Honda

  • Nice Change - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

My old car was a 2001 Ford Escape and the change was very welcome. I love the fuel economy. While it is on the smaller side, it is the perfect size for my needs. I am looking forward to saving some $$ over the next few years.

  • Luv my 1998 Toyota - 1998 Toyota Corolla

What a fabulous small car! I have enjoyed driving this car for 11 years now, and its still going strong. The fuel efficiency is outstanding. I have and never done anything other than routine maintenance on this car (which I purchased new), and it now has 195,000 miles on it. I recently test drove some new cars, and my 98 Toyota actually drove better than some of them!

  • Best bang for your buck!! - 2014 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I bought this car after looking at many options from: KIA, Hyundai, and Honda. I decided to go with the Corolla Eco Plus, because it seemed like the most bang for my buck. And I was right, first of all the new Corolla design is very sleek and roomy inside. Furthermore, I got this car of the MPG which is an estimated 42 MPG highway. Which I was a little skeptical about to be honest. Since that seems to be the problem many other cars and the estimated MPG. However, this is not the case with the Corolla Eco. I recently went on a 60 Mile pure highway trip, and I was extremely impressed with the MPG which was 50 MPG! I couldnt believe it. I hope this stays true for the life of the car.

  • Corolla S- A giant leap backward - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Very disappointed. I replaced my 16 year old Honda Civic with a new Corolla S. The Corolla has developed atrocious steering, handling, and braking issues after 3000 miles. This was not evident during test drives. The fuel economy is not that all impressive at around 28 mpg. The dealer has tried to help but these issues are related to the vehicles design cannot be corrected. Amazing, using advanced technologies and materials- Toyota has managed to replicate the driving feel of my dads 53 Chevy which had worn ball joints and air in the brake lines.

  • Great value for the money! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

Bought my 03 Corolla used with 87,000 miles on it. I am a Home Health nurse and needed an inexpensive, reliable car with good gas mileage and a roomy trunk. This Corolla has met all my needs and then some. I have fallen in love with this car. I spend hours a day in it, minimum 500-600 miles a week in all kinds of conditions and weather and this car has not let me down yet. I now have 123,000 miles on it and plan to drive it another 120,000 +. No mechanical issues. I have only performed maintenance: replaced filters, tires, brakes, spark plugs, as well as oil changes every 3000 miles and transmission service. One small problem, have blown a fuse twice from using plug in to charge laptop computer.

  • Leave Me Alone, Im Happy - 2009 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I bought a 2009, Barcelona Red, Toyota Corolla LE with cruise control, in May 2008, and absolutely love it. I get over 40 mpg on the highway, and get about 28-30 mpg around town. It has a roomy interior, for a small car, and has nice pickup, for a 1.8 liter 4 cyl engine. I especially love the look of the headlight, and tail light displays, (which is very important to me), as well as the redesigned front grille look. The car steering/handling feels good, and the red color makes the car look bigger. The remote, tire low pressure indicator, adds a nice safety touch. All in all, this is a nice, good looking car.

  • A new definition of excellence - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I love this car i suggest that everyone gets one.

  • Nothing ever goes wrong with this car. - 1998 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Seriously, I bought it new 12 years ago, it has about 90,000 miles on it, its gotten all its regular maintenance, and nothing serious has ever gone wrong with it. The only thing that doesnt work is that the 2nd radio button sticks. The engines a bit underpowered, but you will not find a more reliable car. Also, the Toyota vehicles that had issues with accelerators were all 1990 or later, so 1980 is a good year for used models. Its comfy. I have a bad lower back, and the lumbar support is fantastic! It actually makes my back feel better, which is great for long drives. Unbelievably good gas mileage. I am very happy with this car and would recommend it to anyone.
