I purchased this 1994 Toyota Camry LE 4- cyl two years ago with 80,000 miles on it. Its been two years now of me owning the car and it has help up in the best way. The ride is smooth and everything works the way it should. I have had no problems with it. It now has 150,000 miles on it and is holding up like a worrior.

Bought my 94 Camry 2.2L in 2011 with 107,000 miles. Now has 157, 000 and have only replaced the starter and oil changes. Starter went out due to sitting in the garage for almost a year, due to circumstances, not mechanical issues. Honestly the best car Ive ever owned. The reliability of this car is ridiculously high. Last winter we got a ton of snow and she powered through everywhere we went with no issues. Even had to push my girlfriends SUV into our driveway with it. Cant go wrong with this car, my only complaints are: the the A/C hasnt worked since I bought it due to a leak. And the muffler rusted off, so its louder than normal but not excessive. Parts are easy to find and cheap to buy if you need them. Highly recommended Around 25-30 mpg,

I bought this car used in 1996 and it has provided trouble-free driving ever since. I even used it to tow a U-Haul over the Rockies. Everything still works perfectly and it still feels new.

  • Beats having a car payment! - 1994 Toyota Camry

Update: Five days later, the thieves stole all the parking marker lights, the taillights, the headlights, the drive shifter and my dashcam, and other parts to make the car not street legal. This is the first and LAST time I buy a Toyota product for that very reason. I buy the car to drive, not to have a roving parts store in front of my job and apartment. The Camry is too high on the most-stolen list and I should have known better, but now my faith in humanity is very low and I will TRUST NO ONE. DO NOT BUY A USED CAMRY, YOU ARE ASKING TO HAVE IT STRIPPED OR STOLEN. ------------------------------------------ What a great car this 1994 Camry is. Once the lease was up on my new car, I decided to make a clean break and start over with a well running, older car without all the bells and whistles, without all the distracting gadgets. I encountered a really nice, white 1994 Toyota Camry with a fair amount of miles on it, but the price was fair for the condition and it drove beautifully. Unlike my other (new) car, visibility improved by 50%. No huge pillars blocking the side view. No sharp angle on the rear window blocking the rear view. Overall, the car is just that--a car--unremarkable, plain, simple and elegant in its uncomplication. It goes from A to B in all kinds of weather, I can see everything, so it feels like a well-insulated go-cart. Rain, cold, snow and ice are no problem, and unlike a new car, I can put snow cables on my Camry and chew up the snow and ice like butter, because the clearance is there between the wheel and the strut. 14" wheels mean I wont have to take out a loan to buy tires. Not much else to say, except that I love it, being just another Joe on the road with another cookie cutter car, humble, no expectations, no need to see if anyone is looking as I drive by, ego free. Perfect. And cheap!

  • Different than most Camrys - 1994 Toyota Camry

Bought new in 1994. Sportier than most other Camrys and has a look that still seems modern after all these years. Rock solid in all ways and the V6 is still quick and responsive. No squeaks or rattles or rust after 157K miles and we intend to keep to 300K if possible. A great car!!

  • Best Car Ever Owned - 1994 Toyota Camry

I bought this car new and have put >223k miles on it. Form, fit and function are exceptional. The 3.0 L engine runs like a Lexus - smooth and reliable. I agree with the other reviewers about the poor low end torque, but not about the mileage. My typical city/highway mileage was 20 mpg, and I have never gotten better than 24 mpg. I have had owned Chevy and Olds, and neither is as solid an automobile as the Camry. This ones a keeper.

  • Great and reliable car - 1994 Toyota Camry

Bought the car in 2001, and didnt have any major problems with it. Other than regular maintenance and a few minor repairs the car is great. It is reliable and fuel efficient. For being 16 years old it runs like a charm. engine runs excellent and the car starts immediately in any temperature. The AC doesnt work, and there is a minor oil leak that I still need to fix. Minor rust on the rear wheel wells, and paint is different colors on the metals and plastics. The interior plastics are cracking as well. Other than that, the car is great, especially for how old it is.

  • Voted Best Midsize Sedan for 1994 - 1994 Toyota Camry

This is overall the best car I have ever owned. Sleek and comfortable, no major problems when serviced regularly. Definitely a car for either rush hour or for road trips. When it came down between this and a Honda Accura, the Camry won, hands down.

  • Me & the Camry: Till Death Do Us Part - 1994 Toyota Camry

Been driving this Camry for 4 years now, have put on about 60k miles on it. Very reliable but has had trouble (a handful of times) starting in cold weather. Everything works great. Average gas mileage is 21 or 22mpg. I get a bad smell from the A/C (but Lysol has helped with that). Has better turning radius than Accord. All of this said, this car has not endeared itself to me like the 1987 Acura Legend that it replaced (or 1978 Volvo 245 before that).

  • Wonderful car - 1994 Toyota Camry

Am finally moving on from this car after 16 years. Has been a great auto. Extremely reliable. This was basically the Lexus ES 300 with a different body and missing some bells and whistles. Toyota later thought this car was too good for the price and "decontented" it. Ive had no major issues or repairs with it. Replaced the timing chain around 80k miles. Im even reluctantly giving it up at this point, but there are just too many nice features on the new cars to pass up. I have the black exterior and tan interior and still think the car looks good today. A real peach.
