  • I love My Camry - 1994 Toyota Camry

I bought this Camry as a program car in the winter of 1995. I had a few problems early but they were covered by the waranty. Since 1997 this car has been the best. I have a daily commute of 28 miles each way and I have enjoyed the ride as much the last time I drove it as I did the first time. I would highly recommend a Camry to everyone who enjoys a trouble free, quiet riding, smooth ride.

Its a great car, built to last a long time as long as a dealer or a mecanic do not touch it, otherwise it will be the end of it. At least you have an honest mecanic. Forget about the Peoples Courts. That are for the birds!.

I found this vehicle very reliable and comfortable both on long rides and short excursions, cruise control is very useful on long trips. I found that doing routine maintenance was somewhat difficult due to the lack of manevering room under the hood, but overall a good car.

  • Nice car - 1994 Toyota Camry

It is a very nice car. Worth way more than what I paid for it. Ive had it for about two years now and it had 189,000 miles on it. The handling is very good, the leather seats are very comfortable, the visibility is good, moon roof is fully functional, acceleration is rather decent, and brakes are good. The radio is not very good. The speakers sound very good for this generation, but the antenna motor (the one that is supposed to retract the antenna back into the vehicle after the radio is switched off) does not retract the antenna; it just makes noise. The CD and Tape players no longer work, but the AM/FM Tuner works great. The trunk is absolutely massive and the interior room is superb. Overall, a very nice car.

Ive owned my Camry for four years and have over 217,000 on the odometer, and I believe its an excellent choice for someone with a small budget. Interior design is excellent. The seats are well-shaped and comfortable, and the placement of controls is intuitive. At high speed, road noise is nearly non-existent, like a luxury car. Wind noise is moderately high, but no more than could be expected. Engine performance is mediocre. Noise is high at revs over 3000, and acceleration is adequate at best. Fit and finish inside is terrific, with snug and well-fitting parts, and reliability is good. For the money, youd be hard-pressed to find a better family sedan.

  • 150,000 miles and still strong - 1994 Toyota Camry

Even with the V6 this wagon isnt super strong, but otherwise I have nothing to complain about. My only repairs since purchase at 130,000 have been wear and tear items (brakes, timing belt, a/c). Just test-drove a new Outback wagon, and had a revelation when I got back into my car. It felt more solid and comfortable than the brand new Subaru at 9 years old! Why buy new?

  • Its the best! - 1994 Toyota Camry
    By -

Purchased 4 cylinder in the summer of 2006 with 67,000 miles, currently in the spring of 2007 miles 88,000. Only items were EGR, minor distributor oil seep, had both fixed. Reliable, quiet, comfortable, low maintenance, good gas mileage. Regular maintenance. Distributor fried at 85,000, otherwise no issues. Plan on keeping and driving until the wheels fall off or engine wears out, probably at 300,000 mile or so!!!

  • Thought It Was Good - 1994 Toyota Camry
    By -

Bought this Camry from original owner- Had around 85000 miles on it--after 98000 miles everything went wrong--I religiously changed my oil and fluids. First to go wrong were all of the window motors--each cost around 250- 300 to fix. Next, antenna and stereo went out--costs were around 200-250. Finally, the transmission went out-- had to change front and rear end seals, driver brake hoes busted, and shocks went out--dont want to think about how much expensive it was. I still have it b/c cant afford anything else. I was surprised to see the downward trend after 98000 miles from a Camry.

  • Bullet-proof car - 1994 Toyota Camry

I bought this car with 30,000 miles in 1997. It now has 221,000 miles and has never failed. The car burns no oil and has no oil leaks. I keep thinking about buying a new car, but this one wont die. The only defective item was the electric antenna that died at 110,000 miles. Used replacement was expensive at $100.

  • 260000 and a blown head gasket - 1994 Toyota Camry
    By -

I have a 94 Toyota Camry that I am the 3rd owner of. My mother was the 2nd and bought it used in 1995 with a little over 15,000 miles on it. I think that it is an unbeatable car as far as durability and reliability. The 2.2lt sohc 4 cyl has more than enough power and with the electronically controlled 4 speed auto trans it uses it in all the right rpms depending on how much gas petal is used. I have put this car through its paces for sure with 168,000 miles on it when I got it I definitely put the hardest of the 260,000 miles on it. The only major repair I had to do was replace the cv joints 3 times but that was because of hard driving. I am having the motor rebuilt because of a blown head gasket.
