Overview & Reviews
For 2011, the Toyota Avalon receives new front- and rear-end styling, a new dash and more standard features. Furthermore, trim levels have been reduced to the base Avalon (which is similar to the outgoing XLS trim) and the Avalon Limited.
- Seats five adults in comfort, attractive cabin design with high-quality materials, composed and quiet ride, powerful and efficient V6, available upscale amenities, strong crash test scores.
- A bit expensive for its class, refined nature leaves little room for flair or personality, rear seats do not fold.

Love it! - 2011 Toyota Avalon
By Jimbob - October 14 - 10:00 amJust returned from a round trip to Illinois and driving the speed limits, averaged 33 mpg, which includes a traffic tie up in the Twin Cities, and side winds the entire trip. Couldnt be any better! Fantastic ride and handling!

2011 Cocoa Bean Limited - 2011 Toyota Avalon
By John - July 15 - 3:30 pmJust purchased my first Avalon. Ive been looking at them for a couple of years. The 2011 has everything I wanted and then some. Smooth and quite ride, with the best sound system on the market. Ive owned a Sienna and a Prius and am now trading in a Honda CR-V. Look forward to enjoying many comfortable miles on the highway.

A Smart Mans Lexus - 2011 Toyota Avalon
By He Dog - January 26 - 10:00 amI owned 2006 and 2010 Avalon Limiteds. The 2011 is bit better. I dont know why, but fuel mileage increased over 2010, but its a good thing. Pavement noises are pretty much absent. Riding over pavement irregularities is superb. Space, ergonomics, textures, panels, grains, and the like fit well, look, well, and are pleasing to the eye. Ive never purchased the navigation system. The engine and transmission are smooth. Heating, including the seats, and air conditioning are wonderful. Blizzard Pearl and the beige leather are fine color combinations. Low road and wind noise. I dont understand the "9" ratings for MPG, but at 75 MPH I get 34-35 on road. Needs more thing support.

Best Car On The Road - 2011 Toyota Avalon
By ToyotaMan - December 13 - 10:00 amThe 2011 exterior and interior design is very appealing. The engine is spunky. Car is fun to drive and oozes with luxury, quality, safety, and class. Were proud to drive the car and it has the new Toyota five point safety system on it. Engine is not as efficient as the same engine was in our 2006 Avalon.

Wonderful auto - 2011 Toyota Avalon
By cnunn - August 10 - 1:28 pmWe purchased our Avalon about a year ago. We love it. The gas mileage is great..drives and rides like a dream, sound system is perfect, quiet, great rear seat comfort, in short, for us, a retired couple in our mid-sixties it is the best car weve ever owned and absolutely perfectly matches our needs. Weve owned Toyotas for 30 years and we like this one the best. Would highly recommend this car to anyone who wants a comfortable, dependable, quality automobile.

The Best of the pack - 2011 Toyota Avalon
By Marv - July 29 - 3:53 amI owned the first Avalon made and many in between and the most recent 2008. I was doubtful about the changes in styling for the 2011 that I read about. Well, I bought the Avalon and fell in love with the changes to the interior. It seems more upscale. The dash is beautiful. The exterior styling is an improvement. People ask me when I got my Lexus. I say its an Avalon, they are surprised. I couldnt be happier. I have no complaints at all. The car drives like a dream. I cant wait to drive it every chance I get. Its so quiet. I love the blue tooth, so easy to get it going. I never thought I would pay for satellite radio, but I got hooked. The memory drivers seat is so wonderful.

So far so great - 2011 Toyota Avalon
By Retired & carefree - June 26 - 8:40 pmVery pleased with the car. It has met or exceeded my expectations. Did a lot of research before buying. This is my 1st full size/luxury car. Its a lot of money but its a heck of a lot of car! With the problems Toyotas reputation is facing today incredible discounts are out there on even new 2011s. But even their MSRP prices beat the snot out of the competition. Tremendous engine, transmission, ride & comfort. Quick as this car is it gets phenomenal mileage. Once youve driven one, you will want it!

Initial review after first trip. - 2011 Toyota Avalon
By JohnAE - April 6 - 7:20 amWithin the first week of ownership completed a one day 830 mile trip. Really smooth, quiet, comfortable, fuel efficient car. Computer said we got 29.9 mpg at 70++ mph. Not a canyon carver but handles well enough for legal speeds. Braking is okay but not stellar, best you could say is it gets the job done without drama. JBL sound system has excellent separation and frequency range. Blue tooth is a plus. Floor mats are black, a little strange. All dash controls are easy to reach and well lit even in bright light. Manual tilt and tele. Seats are supportive even though flat but sit a little to low even when adjusted as high as they go. Headlights light up the night.

Welcome refuge - 2011 Toyota Avalon
By WrP1997 - April 4 - 11:46 pmDriving 35K a year in an economy car has the body calling out for more comfort. Compared every luxury/full size car available from BMW to KIA. When you total everything up: MPG/Comfort/Fuel Type/Maintenance/ Price/Features/ Reliability and Design the Avalon is a pretty clear choice. New cabin is clean, clear and concise which instills in you a feeling of unpretentious elegance. The cocoa bean metallic paint is possibly the best color available by any manufacture this year. I have only had mine two weeks but fully expect my Avalon to be a trusted part of our family for the next 10 years.
