  • More Fun Every Day - 2013 Subaru Legacy

Have been enjoying this car for over 7 months (about 8000 miles). I share it with my wife. Some of the negative reviews Ive read may be by people that dont own this car or think they own it. Subaru hit a home run with this model and I started driving their cars in 1978. Their engineering prowess is put to the test here and they did almost everything right. The handling, power, transmission, fun factor, stereo, blue tooth, visibility, seating, comfort, all blend into a symphony of joy. It looks good and awd will get you through the worst weather with confidence. Mileage has been very good. 25 city, 31 (or more) highway. People with crappy mileage are lead footed.

  • Great Car - 2013 Subaru Legacy

Ive had the 2013 4-cyl. Legacy Premium for about 7 months now, and love the car. Picked it up for $22k including the all-weather mats (recommended). The main reason I bought it was the AWD, since I live where it snows a lot. The car is a beast in the snow, even with the regular tires. It was 11 degrees today with the car sitting outside, and it started without a hitch and plowed through about 5 inches of snow on the driveway to get to the street. It has plenty of room - its larger on the inside than it seems from the outside, and the trunk is large too. Its comfortable, solid and well-handling to drive.

  • Awesome midsize luxury option - 2013 Subaru Legacy

Ive been driving the 2013 Limited PZEV model for almost a week now, after my 2000 Impreza was totaled in a hit & run. One word - awesome! I test drove a 2.5 2012 Limited before trying the 2013 2.5 Limited - and they are worlds apart. The DOHC CVT changes in the 2013 model make a huge difference to the pick up and make the 2.5i engine feel much more capable. The interior space is great, the hands free works well and voice activation is very handy. Bluetooth audio streaming works well. Commuting on the peninsula <-> San Francisco I am currently seeing about 24MPG with fairly hard driving. I think EPA numbers are fair. AWD with the options on the Limited model make for value hard to beat!

  • 2013 Subaru Legacy Sport - 2013 Subaru Legacy

I narrowed my search down to two cars, the Subaru Legacy Sport and the VW Passat TDI. Both impressed me but living in Vermont, the AWD made the most sense. I must say I am very impressed with the Legacy Sport. I am averaging over 31 miles per gallon with mostly highway miles. Great looking car and handles very well. Sport has 18 inch wheels but wish it had 16 or 17 inch wheels which would cost far less when I changed tires. Ride is nice and smooth though with the sport model, I suspect the regular Legacy models have less stiff suspension. My family has owned several Subarus and have never had a problem. Highly recommended !

  • Great find - 2013 Subaru Legacy

Found a gem of a car. Very low mileage and in excellent condition. Nothing fancy, just a reliable workhorse. And if reputation holds true, should expect to get well over 200,000+ miles like many other Subaru owners already have with theirs.

  • Great All-Around Car For The Money - 2013 Subaru Legacy

Bought a 2.5Limited w/moonroof...after about 1500 miles, Im pleased. I was skeptical about going to a 4-cylinder, but it seems to have plenty of power around town and on the hwy...it works well with the CVT, which is one of my favorite features-smooth acceleration. Interior is well laid out and very roomy - front and back. Seats are comfortable and the Harmon-Kardon sound system is great. Simple, clear ipod interface and bluetooth connection. Build quality is excellent.

  • Love my new (used) Subaru! - 2013 Subaru Legacy

This is my third Subaru in the last 30 years (two of them used). When I was looking at this car I also test-drove 3 used Subaru Legacies. The others were a year newer with fewer miles but the rides were poor. The pickup on this car is fine. I love the CVT. I am so happy with the paddle-shifting! It is wonderful for complete control in snow, and uphill and downhill! I have only had the car for 3 months (Oct-Jan).. The things I dont like are: Takes a long time to warm up. I dont like the trunk-closer "handle" hole - its not sturdy and cant close the trunk - you have to push down on the dirty trunk cover after all. I am very short, and the headrest on the drivers seat was almost a deal-breaker for me, but Ive gotten used to having NO real neck support as my head goes into the big hole before the very high headrest pushes forward (who likes to have THAT?). Lots of cars have that now. Also the paint seems to be a joke. I noticed immediately that I should keep my keys away when going to the door, or Ill add to the many scratches! The trunk is ENORMOUS and I cant believe it can hold more than my old wagons trunk. This car has nice amenities! I love the winter package. Everyone else is scraping their cars and I sit in there and wait for it to do itself! But I wish it had fog lights! They told me those would be $500 to add. But this ones trim level is MUCH nicer than the cars with fog lights (lower models). Both of the other cars I test drove had better brakes. I love that the hood goes up by itself when you unlatch it; no stick to have to push up high to hold a HEAVY hood up (Getting harder for a short, older woman)! Also I think its silly that the inside light goes on SLOWLY when you open the door! But I am mostly totally delighted with my "new" car!

We got a 2013 Subaru Legacy Limited... The interior toys are not as modern but functional and reliable. But it definitely out performs then the Nissan Altima we lease. Handling is great, power is smooth,, MPG consistent 28 mixed up to 33 - 34 hwy, depends on how you drive. The AWD is incredible and the car feels solid... In NJ 2014 winter it was flawless blast through snow and take the potholes great... Subaru give you a great road feel and confidence you cant get from other i4 FWD cars. Rain, mud, dirt, curbs. The Legacy eats it all up People who drive my car say wow.

  • Snow monster, off road ability, MPG :) - 2013 Subaru Legacy
    By -

The Legacy is the best Sedan out there. Great MPG, eats snow up, and go off road, through mud, anything the height can handle... The CVT is good and delivers good shifts and MPG. Car looks good and you can feel the road. I had a camry and Altima lease and they are boring and poor performance and heavy feel. The Legacy feels great when you go AWD wheel drive... My Brother got an outback and its fantastic. Subarus are a 1500, to 2500 more then the others but you get a diffrent car. Boxter engine AWD, handling... Vs. In line transverse 4 banger like all the rest... MPG is 25.5 for me but when I drive conservatively you can get 28 city and up to 33 hwy for AWD... Safety small overlap test...
