Checked-out all the sedans. Legacy rose to the top - 2017 Subaru Legacy
By Iowa - October 22 - 7:15 amWife and I test drove all the 2017 sedans. Accord was ruled out because the seating was very uncomfortable for both of us. Ford Fusion gas mileage not up to par. Camry was sort of blah. Finally narrowed to Sonata and Legacy (Limited trim for both) . Both are quiet. Sonata has slightly better pick-up, but I thought Legacy handled better. Sonatas warranty was a strong selling point, but the Legacy had all-wheel drive. Final choice based on minor interior things. No options for the Sonata interior color: only black interior with the white/silver/grey exterior, and only beige with the blue/red exteriors. Also the faux wood interior molding on the Sonata beige trim looked cheap. Have had the Legacy for a month and very happy with it.

2017 Subaru Legacy Sport - 2017 Subaru Legacy
By MJM - September 21 - 1:25 pmLooked at the Accord and Jetta and found the Subaru to be superior. AWD is much appreciated in New England. I have had reliability issues. The coolant system has drained completely on two separate occassions leaving me high and dry. I find this completely unacceptable for a car with 4000 miles on it. I am researching my options but my preference would be return this car at this point. Ive got a Suburban with 200K miles on it which has had one coolant change in its lifetime. The legacy Sport is a 30K plus car and I can not rely on it for a drive beyond the grocery store. I am obviously not happy.

Subaru delivers! - 2017 Subaru Legacy
By Patel - May 15 - 3:46 amThis is my second subaru and I am very happy with their vehicles they offer the safety without compromising fuel efficiency. In the Midwest we get all sorts of weather and knowing the car can handle any thing Mother Nature sends our way is the peace of mind we wanted for our family.

Cant go wrong with Legecy - 2017 Subaru Legacy
By Brian - January 17 - 7:24 pmI purchased this car in December and I took advantage of Subarus zero percent financing. I am very happy with the room under the hood and the roominess of the cabin. I am 61 and I am very comfortable driving the car, plenty of room. The car is smartly engineered. The AWD is the best in the business. I live in the northeast so the AWD will come in handy. So far I am very happy with the car. If you are looking for a good, comfortable, realizable and safe automobile at a good price, look no further than the Subaru Legecy. Dont get the base model. You get more bells and whistles starting with the premium edition on up.

Great Alternative to the usual sedans - 2017 Subaru Legacy
By G-ManMI - August 11 - 12:20 amWe leased a 2017 Legacy Limited with EyeSight and Nav package, and the car has everything anybody could ask for in the near luxury midsize sedan segment. The Limited trim comes with a long list of features, and option package #24 adds extra goodies like HID headlights, Eyesight, Nav etc and is a pretty good deal IMO. We bought this after test driving the Mazda 6 GT, Ford Fusion Titanium, Lincoln MKZ. The Legacy offers the best combination of safety, value, features and comfort. So far its being running great with a very comfortable ride and ready to take on another Midwest winter. The Harman Kardon audio system sounds excellent, much cleaner and punchy compared to similar Bose systems. The Legacy is surprisingly roomy and comfortable inside. The quiet interior and the low pitch drone from the CVT put some of my passengers to sleep on the highway! Only minor issue is that the front seats seem too wide, but I guess its on-par for a family sedan.

Love at first sight! Dare to be Different! - 2017 Subaru Legacy
By Kek - June 4 - 11:41 amWhen I first saw my 2017 white Legacy Sport on the Subaru lot, I knew I was going to purchase it. The look of the sport model is fresher than the other Legacy models. After looking at dozens of Camrys and Accords, I just didnt want to be another person trying to get into someone elses car in a large parking lot because their Accord looked exactly like mine. This Legacy is what you get if you want to be unique, and not just another Camry/Accord driver. The safety features (Eyesight, high beam assist, etc) are excellent for a car in this price range and its no wonder all the other midsize cars have scrambled to catch up. The complaints I have are that the AUDIO system is horrible. Had I listened closer during my test drive, I would not have purchased the car because I am a music lover and music sounds horrible in the Legacy. There are no settings you can choose to help it other than balance all the sound onto the back speakers. If youre looking at a Legacy and like a nice AUDIO system, be sure to get the upgraded Harmon Kardon system. Also, the heating system seems to take too long to put out heat. I blame the 4 cylinder engine for this lack of heating power. On very cold days, the car seems to accelerate very sluggishly until it gets warmed up. Again another disadvantage I blame on the 4 cylinder engine. Everything else about the Legacy is great. The price, AWD, safety features and roomy interior are all hard to beat.

Not a happy Subaru owner - 2017 Subaru Legacy
By Subaru Sufferer - May 25 - 8:18 pmI bought this car hoping for years of good service. The first clue should have been the expensive “official Subaru†extra mechanical warranty. The car clatters when it starts, rides rough, has wind and road noise issues, came with defective foam in rear arm rest, seat, and the cloth is terrible- horrible to keep clean. Oh and have already gotten to replace all four tires since they were to old to just buy one when it lost a tire due to a stick- it broke a cord in the low budget factory tire. As far as support from Subaru? Forget about it. This is a train wreck of depreciation to boot, so I will get to hate on this car for years! I hate this car!

Mostly fabulous! - 2017 Subaru Legacy
By Judith Silver - April 20 - 5:49 amI love my new Subaru Legacy and its many features: headlights are the best I have ever had; messages of "lane departure" and "vehicle ahead has moved" will surely make me a more alert driver. The blind spot warnings are very helpful. The few things I dont like: setting the headlights (they work great...difficult to figure out); the location and difficulty of seeing the time; the GPS has no streets, only turns; I miss a key that goes in the ignition.
