  Good first try at an SUV Saturn - 2002 Saturn VUE

  Very smooth driving 60mph feels more like 30mph. Excells on snow,In fact last year my road was repaved and I had no problem getting to and from my home despite sand/gravel/mud/holes/hills, where other automobiles became hopelessly stuck. AWD works seamlessly. If expecting a Lexus/Mercedes/Volvo you would be let down (but its half the price),remember this SUV was designed to be affordable. I looked at the competition and just had to come back to the Vue because of the well designed roomy interior, alot of thought went into this SUV. The dealership is a joy The VUE is WONDERFUL for the price! The handling is precise the engine is peppy gotta

  Update- 42K miles - 2002 Saturn VUE

  Throughout my Vues life, I have had lots of issues. The front end suspension was replaced twice, fuel gauge broke, and some interior plastic delaminated. The wind-shield wiper nozzles were replaced 3 times! On the more major issues, the engine had a weird problem with condensation in the PCV valve hose that caused it to run very poorly in the winter. Also, an issue with the oil cooler cover gasket that resulted in coolant leaks. Although I like the vehicles performance and have had decent customer service from dealer and Saturn Corp (they gave me a 5-yr. 60K extended warranty), I am very disappointed.

  Great ride and all accesories for under $20,000. Feels Good, Looks Good, and light on the pocket book at the pumps. First time Saturn buyer and everyone wants to know what my car is. They love it and so do I.

  I hate to bash this car, it got me around for bout 7 years and over 100k, but: This cars been my rival the entire time- Pros: This thing is pretty safe. I have been in 3 notable accidents (most recently fatally colliding with a deer) which have left me completely safe and confused that my vehicle had collided with something! Cons- This whole car (Including critical engine components) is made of cheap plastic, prone to dissentegrate and collapse in dire, drastic and expensive ways. Its all hunky dory til your engine almost seizes or your shifter breaks, leaving you in 1st gear and 30miles from the nearest soul. Thanks, Saturn.

  What a joy to drive - 2002 Saturn VUE

  A great SUV - for a great price! Ive had no problems with mine and I can honestly say I love this SUV. It handles great, shifter feel is solid, steering is silky smooth and ride is smooth and stable. Ive had no problems with my VUE. The 4 cyl is powerful enough and the 5spd is smooth and confortable. The build quality is good . Good price & coupled that with Saturn service, reputation & safety and I think its the best deal around.

  have had minivans prior, so comfort is lacking for my 64 frame. Dealership is still in question. Hope all is well for the long term.

  Rear suspension problems like crazy! - 2002 Saturn VUE

  Thats it! Going back to a minivan! I rely on my AWD because of where I live and my VUE reliably fails when winter hits. Had it in for service last February (2004) and they replaced the parts that work the rear wheel AWD. Guess what? We have two feet of snow and I have a front-wheel drive car again! Thats right, its out again. Not only that, but cant get the VUE in for a whole week for service. We were told last time it wasnt too "safe" to drive if the rear suspension was working right. Also, theres been some sort of recall that we were never notified by mail (or otherwise) about that they are fixing next week in the shop. Very disappointed in my VUE. Will be selling soon.

  I traded a 93 Eagle Vision Tsi for this and dont miss the funky/clunky "Dodge" at all. It was time for it to go. The VUE is everything an SUV should be...roomy, with clean lines and is fun to drive. I also like to laugh at teh owners of BMW X5s & the Lexus RX300, who paid three times as much for the same sightlines and convenience thsi type of vehicle provides...

  For a 4 cyl, its a great car. I drive it far & wide. Its a pretty comfy long distance ride for 3-4 people. For driving around the city, 5 people sit very comfortably. It handles like a car & its not humongous like most of the other SUVs. I love it!
